Description: Fogo de ChaoR (fo-go dee shoun), is an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse. In 1979, FogoR began sharing the gaucho way of preparing meat in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill each of our 16 cuts of meat and offer you continuous tableside service. We invite you to enjoy the delicious preparations of our gaucho chefs along with our gourmet salad bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list.

This Brazilian steak house is great. The salad bar is great to start but the best part is different types of meats that keep on coming to your table once you flip your card to green. We went late on Friday night and the place was still packed. Reservations are suggested.

“Carnivore Paridise!”

This place rocks! Excellent salad bar and the fire roasted meat just keeps coming! Excellent service! We were treated like royalty! We never had to wait for a drink. The fillet the ribeye and all the sirloins but the bottom sirlioin was excellent! My favorites were the fillet and the ribeye. The lamb was a little gamey. The bacon wrapped fillet and bacon wrapped chicken was a little over cooked. I didn't like everythig they brought but there was plenty of meat that I did like. The pork ribs were a little tough but like I said the things I did like were excellent and there was plenty!

Classy and full of variety. Went for a special birthday dinner and ate to we dropped. Salad bar is so different and jammed backed with Brazilian Specialties. Drinks are excellent and different. Meat of all types never ends, just take what you really like.

Don't fill up at the salad bar. The gauchos will be bringing you more delicous meat cuts than you can ever imagine.

“Upgraded version of Old Country Buffet”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

You go to this restaurant for meat, meat, and more meat. Lots of different meats to choose from. Delicious sirloin tip and rib eye (the only reason that I gave it three stars). Except for the managers, Dan and Andy, the staff is surly and the service was average to poor. (Although, understandably, it was a packed-house on a Saturday night. I suspect that you'd be a little surly from being tired, hungry, and hassled by customers.)
The salad bar was mediocre (I don't know what the other reviewers are raving about). Chart House's salad bar is 10 times better.
Again, you go there for the meat. Filet Mignon was tasteless. Lamb was dry. Ribs were dry. Garlic steak was not bad. And, like I said above, Sirloin Tip and Rib Eye were delicious.
Side dishes were pedestrian ... mashed potatoes were room temperature and almost liquidy. Palenta (or whatever it is) was bland. Cheesy Rolls weren't very cheesy.
We had a table of six and won't be returning. If you're going to spend that kind of money, you might as well go to Ruth's Chris.
