“great meal, slightly chain-like”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

The food was good....oysters were delcious, as was the chilean sea bass...only minor complaint was that the waiter did a ton of upselling, to the point that it didn't feel like genuine service. oh, and the wine pour was precisely measured and was a stingy pour for the price.

“Outstanding service and delicious food”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

My wife and I dined at Oceanaire, Baltimore, MD, on July 5, 2013. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and the a senior waitperson took us to a window table. We each ordered a different salad, different entrée (chicken and crab cakes), be we shared the crème brulee dessert.
Kim recommended a specific white wine for our entrees; she was personable and knowledgeable. During our meal both the restaurant manager and general manager came to our table to ask how we were and to thank us for choosing their restaurant. I don't believe that has happened at a restaurant before.
We unequivocally recommend Oceanaire, Baltimore.

“Excellent seafood, great service”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We got a recommendation for Oceanaire and card for a free calamari appetizer from the hotel concierge, who also called ahead to reserve a late-minute table for us on a busy weekend night.

The calamari was very lightly breaded, and the spicy Asian sauce was not overpowering. We had generously sized Chesapeake Bay crab cakes and Chilean sea bass with lump crabmeat. The crab cakes had just enough filler to keep the crab together and the sea bass was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also had excellent spinach sautéed with garlic and cheesy bacon au gratin potatoes. Portion sizes were generous; we left some of the potatoes so we'd have room for dessert. My dining companion had crème brulee ; I opted for the unusual offering of a root beer float; both were refreshing.

Service was attentive without being intrusive; used dishes were removed promptly.

Oceanaire is handicapped accessible.
