Stayed at this hotel for the preakness weekend. We arrived at 9 amand our bags were placed in a locked room untill check in time. We still received the free breakfast and use of the shuttle even before our checkin time. Received everything that was promissed. Hourly shuttle to inner harbor was wonderfull. Very polite and friendly drivers. Rooms were clean and entire hotel was very well kept. Breakfast was much better than most complimentary breakfast and waite staff also very friendly and polite.

What a great hotel to stay at if you are planning a visit to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Md. We just got back from a 2 night stay. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the Inner Harbor, but the free shuttle that takes you back and forth is great. The price of $93.00 for a queen sized room with 2 beds can't be beat, and it includes breakfast at the price. The hotel was located right off of I-95. Our room was on the 11th floor and facing the city. What a great view of the city. The room was clean and neat, and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. We did not hear any noise from the highway. My only complaint would be the walls are a little thin and you can hear if someone is talking in the hallway. Otherwise, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Yes it is on top of a Greyhound bus station, but this has no impact on the hotel what -so-ever. The indoor pool was nice to have as well as the fitness center. Also, you can walk into the greyhound bus terminal and there is a gift shop with plenty of snacks, etc. There is also a Sbarros Pizza, KFC, A&W rootbeer stand. The free breakfast was plentiful, including eggs, sausage, bagels, Make-Your-Own Waffle Station. It was nice to have all that available. The staff of the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again just for the price, the free breakfast and the free shuttle into the Harbor. The shuttle runs from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. If you need to take a taxi it is $14.00 from the Harbor to the hotel. We didn't need to do this as the free shuttle was always on time. If you want to save your money to do fun things and not spend it on a hotel room, this is the place to stay.

I was there with my wife and 3 grandkids. For $98 (AARP discount), you get a heated pool, a gym, a sauna, a hot tub, free wifi, free breakfast, and free shuttle service to the Inner Harbor. I think this is a GREAT deal, and we'll be back. The room was clean, and the staff were extremely helpful with directions and advice, and were very friendly. And a McDonald's in the parking lot (hey, the grandkids thought that was awesome).

After reading a couple reviews on this site before heading down to the hotel, i was alittle worried, but as far as the actual hotel, this place is not to bad other than being located right outside the actual city and a 2 or 3 mile ride to the harbor. The hotel in connected to a baltimore bus center and in between the streets of baltimore neighborhoods. all together is you need a basic place to stay for a night or 2, then this place is for you then. nothing to fancy or special... just a place to basically sleep and leave !

This is a very nasty and unhealthy hotel. Management doesn't care, the front desk staff are ghetto and trifling. I had my bridal party stay there along with other guest of the wedding and we did not get into our rooms until 4:00 am the morning of the wedding after being there since 10:00 pm after the rehearsal, trying to get the rooms right. They mixed all the rooms up, then they sent two of the guest to rooms that other guest were already in asleep in the beds. To make a long story short. We did not have our bachelorette party, hair/nails did not get done, and to top all that off, we got up at 6:00 am anyhow to go each breakfast, and while there, my sister and I were summons to my 80 yr old mother and 83 year old blind father's room because they woke up in a bed full of chinches (bedbugs) that had bit and rashed them up through the short time they laid there. The room was infested. So bad, the staff didn't want to go in there to clean up the room. One employee had on gloves and had to literally bag up my parents night clothes and put them in a garbage bag, and all the clothes they had laid out on the bed. The hotel management from the bottom to the top did not care, they tried to blow it off. We waited for 4 hour for a GM or DM who ever she was to come to our room to rectify the situation. I was a nervous wreck, we all ended up in one room that we felt was a bit cleaner than the others (had 3 rooms) to try to get ready for the wedding. I was crying, my parents were crying, the bridesmaids were crying, it was a mess. We were hungry and they had the nerve to give us a gift certificate after we asked for food for my Father who was a Diabetic, and for the wedding party because we missed breakfast because of the incident. We ended up eating McDonald's. The wedding was suppose to start at 3:00 pm it didn't start until 4:30 pm and most of the guest were tired and hungry, they left right after the ceremony and didn't come to the reception that didn't start until about 5:45 pm. There was wasted food, wasted money. The only good thing that they offered us was not to pay for the rooms and the exit out of that hell hole of a hotel. What ever you do, don't use this hotel for a wedding, family reunion, or any other event. You will be embarrased, believe me. It was a disaster. We called the police also to make sure that this situation was documented, and that they couldn't say it never happened. True Story.... Do Not Use This Hotel!!!!

  • Liked — At first the lobby was nice looking which fools you to believe everything else is nice.
  • Disliked — Everything went up in smoke from the moment we checked in to the moment we left.

Nice and clean Place. Overall good experience. room was clean small typical hotel room. internet with connetion and wireless setup in room ,works right on tv screen no charge.
free breakfast in am some hot foods make your own waffles etc.
dinner theater in hotel which was real nice dinner and a show if you sat there $ 40.00 per person we saw Phantom BUt christmas show coming soon. pool and excerise room dated ,pool was small but clean excerise equip in desperate need of update.
Free van shuttle to local hosptials and the inner harbor that was blessing no driving in city traffic.
Only drawback was the bus terminal for transit buses is under the hotel. lots of deisel smoke and traffic from them. hotel is set in a transit area, truck stops across the street and lots of bus and truck traffic. you really see them but when they idle for a while you smell them.
overall good for short stay.

Just returned from out weekend in Baltimore and will NEVER stay at the Best Western again. On paper the hotel sounds great, free shuttle to the Inner Harbor, free hot breakfast, too bad it didn't live up to it's billing. First off if you don't have a car it is a $40 cab ride from the airport (shuttles may save you $5 but probably not worth the extra stops), there is a truck stop attached (conveniently cut out of all of the pictures), the shuttle is a "scheduled" shuttle so it only runs at certain times and you have to make a reservation, once it's full you're out of luck and if the hotel is busy, like it was during my stay, all I can say is good luck! If you don't mind waiting in a 40 person long line and eating w/plastic utensils the "hot breakfast" was a "warm" breakfast. To add to all of this, the housekeeper didn't have towels, I had to scavange on another floor, the lock on our door broke and we spend 45 minutes standing in the hot hallway waiting for them to open the door and the morning we left we never got out wake up call.
My advise, spend a little extra $$ and stay closer to Inner Harbor or stay someplace out of the downtown area that has a free airport shuttle and is on the LIGHT rail for easy (cheap) access to the Inner Harbor area.
