“Awesome Camden Yards Trip!”

Hotel was awesome! Across the street from Stadium! One of the best vacations we ever had!!! A must stay! Close to everything! Went to see Red Sox play Orioles, great day, great food, great stay! Right next to 2 great Baltimore Bars, near waterfront as well.

I stayed at two hotels during my trip to Baltimore for Bronycon 2013. The Hampton was less expensive, but gave me more -- complimentary breakfast, free internet, and available laundry. More for less! Okay! :) I will definitely look for Hampton again next time.

We stayed here having landed in Baltimore from the UK before taking a cruise, for 2nights. We took a taxi from the airport which was $40 but it would have been about 30 if it wasn't for the baseball game finishing at the same time so we were stock in traffic. Nice modern hotel with really large rooms, very clean and nice decor/furnishings. Swimming pool on basement level and complimentary breakfast/coffee and popcorn throughout the day. Great location for baseball game or convention centre and inner harbour is 20 minutes to walk. On match days the street outside the hotel is very busy and it's not a problem, no issues or trouble. Couple of bars next door if you fancy a drink. Free wifi which is also great. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We had room on 7th floor and couldn't hear any noise really.

I agree with other reviews with regard to the location of this hotel. If you are in town to see a ball game this hotel is as close to Camden Yards as you can get. It's also within 1 mile of the Inner Harbor so walking to attractions and restaurants is not a problem. My wife and I arrived in Baltimore by train and took a cab to the hotel. The taxi idea worked out great. Valet parking at the hotel will run you $29.00 per night .... cab fare was $20.00 including tip.

I have stayed at Hampton Inns for business and personal travel for many years. The expectation is friendly staff, a clean comfortable room, free wifi and a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. On the second evening of our stay we smelled something burning and called the front desk. They said they would send a maintenance person right away. After 30 minutes of no maintenance worker I called front desk to tell them the smell had subsided. I asked them what had happened to maintenance and was told that a kid had stopped up a toilet and the maintenance guy was busy. Seriously ..... I'm glad the building didn't burn down. Of the three mornings we ate breakfast we drank cold coffee and ate cold imitation scrambled eggs on two days. On the second day I asked the attendant to change out the coffee pot. You would have thought I asked her to run out to Starbucks .... I didn't need an attitude please just refill the coffee pot with fresh coffee.

I believe management needs to take a look at their front desk and breakfast staff.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend Red Sox-Oriole series. Perfect location, great service and a pleasant room. I'd recommend this hotel for a quick baseball or football getaway. Lots of sports related activities nearby. The accommodations were great and the staff was very helpful. I'll go there again.

Location will not get any better for the money. The hotel is clearn room is clean staff friendly. The pool is nice with a hot tub on side. It is right across the street from the ball field. Walking to the inner harbor, and of course both stadiums is easy.

I can only imagine staying here for a game or the indycar race! We loved it! Clean rooms, updated everything! Our little ones decided testing out the beds within seconds of entering the room and my eldest ended up needing to go the the hospital 2 blocks away to see if she needed stitches. Staff were very helpful and quick in getting us taken care of. Thank God she didn't need any! My only complaint is that the ice machine on our floor was out.

Room Tip: Rooms that face south have a view of Camden Yards and the race course
