Food and service outstanding and very interesting menu. Had the best tuna anywhere. Friends had fantastic apps and entrees. Desert was very tasty too. The only knock is location is kind of sketchy. Take a cab. Overall outstanding.

When the restaurant first opened, I ate there frequently. The menu was exciting and the ingredients were incredibly fresh and locally sourced. The food isn't as good this time. I will try them again to see if perhaps it was just a bad night.

Our party of four totally enjoyed an evening out at Salt, which is a tiny restaurant tucked into a neighborhood near Patterson Park. The service was very warm and hospitable. And the food was creative, interesting, and delicious. I highly recommend the the signature tuna, and my husband thought his scallops were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I probably would not bring my kids to this restaurant, mainly because it's kind of expensive and has a very sophisticated menu. But for an adult night out, it was a delight.

The food was outstanding, wonderfully imaginative and very tasty. As to the parking, much depends on how much/far you want to walk. If you must be close by in Butcher's Hill proper, yes, finding a spot may be irksome. But move over a couple of blocks to north of Patterson Park, and you'll find spaces. All in all, this is a restaurant that is well worth a bit of walking.

Me and my roommate hit up Salt last week for dinner and were blown away. The food and service were both amazing. It was Baltimore Restaurant Week which can be hit or miss but we were definitely impressed. We weren't disappointed with a single thing that we set on the table. The duck fat fries (more importantly the black truffle dip that came with them) and the goat cheese doughnuts were two favorites.

Definitely recommend this restaurant for foodies and folks that are looking for something off the beaten path.
