“Million Dollar Quartet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

This was the first time I've gone to a show at the historic Hippodrome. What a beautiful theater! While you are waiting to go into the show you can peruse the blown-up old photos of the theater, newspaper articles from when it opened in 1912 and the surrounding buildings on Eutaw St. The theater itself is a gem that has been restored wonderfully. We saw "Million Dollar Quartet" and all four of the actors/singers were dead-on as the musicians they portrayed: Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry-Lee Lewis. A memorable evening!

“Authentic theater”

Saw Billy Elliott-- LOVED this show! Also enjoyed the theater. Lots of room in lobby; bars were well staffed. Seats in balcony area are tight-- knees hit the chairs in front of you.

“Billy Elliott”

Great show, nice venue, although the area lacks for dining options . Seats in center balcony row d give max leg room, as there is an aisle in front of you

“Go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

Small, beautifully restored theater in downtown Baltimore. We saw Billy Elliott on a rainy night in December. We feared getting to the place from Virginia as well as parking, but everything was easy and worked out nicely. We sat in the last row of the lower section and the seats were very nice, Reasonably priced with a good view of a wonderful show. The only complaint was the concessions which included candy and alcohol. Our mistake for showing up with hungry kids. Great evening at the theater. Thanks!

“Historic and yet well remodeled”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

Not a bad seat in the house! Seats are a bit tiny since the theater is old, but it is cozy and every seat has a great view and good acoustics. Nice cocktail bars and restrooms all over the place. Also easy parking nearby.
