“History with fantastic tour guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2013

Tour guide was very knowledgeable-she could answer any questions about the house or its contents and make it interesting. Part of the history of Baltimore and Maryland that you don't hear about. Barrister Charles Carrol and his wife lived there in the 18th century. It is one of the oldest examples of colonial Georgian architecture in Baltimore.

“A quality attraction”

Beautiful house, great view. Lots of interesting history inside this house with very in-depth and easy to understand tours. Our docent was very knowledgable about the place and answered all our questions. A must-see for history lovers!

“Poor all around!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

First off, the address on the website is way wrong. GPS asked me to park on 95 south and walk there... The house is located in a park off Washington blvd, no where near the 1500s. Any way, poor staff and assitence including ability to communicate. And lastly, the event I attended was just very mediocre.

“Not the best choice of house museum in Baltimore”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

This is not must place to visit. Very little of the furnishing; silver; and china are original. Tour was so-so. Hampton Historic Site is orders of magnitude better and is free.
