“A true Baltimore Gem”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

The architecture is absolutely breath-taking. I do not think the library is open for every day use. But, I was lucky enough to be with a tour group who got to go inside and walk among the books. Thousands of old books line the shelves.

“Wonderful library!”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

It won't take you very long to take a look at the Peabody Library - but do go in and see one of the USA's great libraries. Visitors can go in and see the magnificent reading room, surrounded on three sides by floors of books on open shelves. The Peabody also mounts displays on American writers - at the moment on the short but creative life of Stephen Crane. A visit won't take long, but you won't regret it.

“Run, don't walk, to see this beautiful interior!!!!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

I have never seen a more beautiful library space. From the moment you step through the doors you are surrounded by rich woods, antiques, and the feeling of old world elegance. Looking up, you see a multi-storied open space with shelves and shelves of beautiful books. We were very fortunate to have an opportunity to spend the evening there for our son's wedding reception. All the guests agreed that it was the most beautiful location for a reception they had ever seen. The staff was wonderful to work with and ever detail was attended to. The Peabody is a must-see sight for anyone visiting Baltimore. You will not be disappointed.

“Spectacular interior”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

As an old building fan, I was advised to peek inside and was so glad I did. What a fabulous reading room! Three story space surrounded by the old book collection on open ornate stacks. Really worth stepping inside.
