At Donna’s, Sophie serves her guests.
Her coffee is the very best.
The spinach salad is a dream
With Gorgonzola salad cream
That Sophie gets for me with pleasure
Turning my salad into a treasure.
My friend has ordered Caesar Salad
Which was an honour to the palate
With it she had just one iced tea
With enough ice to cool off three.

Donna’s breakfasts are renowned
The best of breakfasts to be found.
On weekends they change into brunch
As tasty as you’ll ever munch.

Décor is soothing to the eye -
It’s pleasant, tasteful, that is why.
So come to Donna’s, bring a friend
Or two, or three, I recommend.

Nice neighbourhood, ok prices, substandard food, waiter forgot at least 4 things to bring, including the upsell cheese for the leftover tasting turkey burger. The worst - pumpkin soup. Very good French gimlet cocktail. The manager/ owner very nice and friendly.

We have dined at 3 Donna's: Charles Village, Cross Keys, and Columbia, and they're all great. The one in "Chuck Village" is a small corner cafe that has taken on the avant garde tenor of its mostly young "indie" staff and neighborhood. Cross Keys is more sedate and expansive with some outdoor seating. Columbia is in a kind of office park, but features a neat jazz combo some nights. Donna's recipes are always imaginative, and the execution always good. Enjoyable and affordable.

I went here with some friends who live in the neighborhood and frequent Donna's often. Food was delicious. My friends suggested the mac and cheese and it did not disappoint. Good food at a good price. Nice neighborhood atmosphere.
