This is a fun little place with an ever-changing dining experience. It takes bar food to a whole new level. In my opinion, this IS Baltimore cuisine and it is done very well.

My mom and I choose Peter's Inn for dinner after a day of shopping. We walked in a few minutes before the kitchen opened for dinner and the restaurant was literally completely filled within 20 minutes on a Tuesday! They have a different, unique menu each week and a host of interesting cocktails and wines to choose from. This place is definitely one of the best hole in the wall finds in the area. The staff was friendly and very helpful when it came to making decisions about the food. We'll definitely be going back. Personal suggestion, since they don't take reservations and the kitchen doesn't open until 6:30, go early have a drink (or two) and wait for the kitchen to open. That way you can ensure you won't have to wait for a table!

Our host at the Blue Door suggested we dine here and we are so glad we took his advice. We ducked into the place to escape the rain and were in luck to find an open table. What followed were expertly mixed cocktails and superb food.

Let me preface my review by agreeing with other TA reviews that Peter's Inn is a fun place with great food, and it's certainly understandable that it's a favorite with the local community. Given that our kids just moved to Fell's Point, we thought it would be a great introduction to the neighborhood. Our experience, however, was not really quirky, it was downright bizarre: do read on to compare this to one of your own "unique dining experiences" and evaluate what you might have done!

We were nearing the end of a really satisfying dining experience (with half-price wine on Wednesday) and about to ask for the desert menu when a terrible odor "descended". Something between kerosene and shoe polish with a touch of rotten eggs - and thick enough you could feel it. We thought it might be a gas leak and asked our server. She was equally shocked and soon came back to tell us a couple of Wednesday night regulars were at the bar and had lit a candle with said horrific odor. She was equally dismayed and noted they had never done this before.

What followed was a study in group behavior - although at first I was certain we were on some new reality hidden camera show. One by one, every patron in the place closed out their tab and left. And NOONE, most notably the restaurant staff, said anything to these proud idiots. Even our server came outside with us to both apologize and get some fresh air. Too weird for words but it certainly took the edge off our evening as our clothes even reeked with this noxious odor.

The next night we dined at another local spot, told the story to our server, and asked what they would do. She was amazed that the management didn't immediately put an end to this deliberate and obnoxious event - and so it goes......

My brother was in Baltimore on business and when my husband and I joined him for the weekend we came to Peters. His wife raved about the crab cakes and of course we had to try them. What a treat! There is no filler in these crab cakes, they are all crab meat cooked perfectly and delicious! Service was prompt and friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 and it wasn't crowded at all. Well worth the visit, I highly recommend Peters!
