Super relaxed nautical themed local dive bar that serves a decent Sunday brunch buffet. (Everywhere else I called in Baltimore said they too served brunch...meaning food from 11-2 without any type of buffet... so not actual brunch at all...) Walked right in. A couple of small rooms in a historical building with limited seating but so much better than the crazy wait times at the inner harbor restaurants. It was rather relaxing and the staff was super friendly and totally mom and pop style. I would highly recommend it if you don't want to wait and want an actual brunch with quite a few choices for breakfast and lunch foods. Lunch foods were much much better than breakfast foods, so if you want seafood choices or really delicious pork, this is the place. If you really want homemade pancakes/french toast/syrup and pastries...its just ok. Pancakes and french toast are hot and made to order just not really any flavor. Pastries definitely seem store bought. And unfortunately the syrup seemed watered down. I'm a syrup connoisseur so not up my alley. But the atmosphere outweighed the food and if you want a chill environment, this is the place.

Place has a lot of character, that's the end of the good for us. Party of 4, Friday night, arrived about 6:30 and seated in the dining room. Freezing cold. Asked if heat was possible, was told a fire would shortly be lit. A bit later, no fire, asked if they didn't have actual heat they could nudge up? Apparently not. A guy appeared and remarked, it's cold in here and turned up the heat, horray. Then a guy came and lit the fire, which seems to require a door 8 ft from us to be propped open. So, cold air was rushing over us. One of my group went to car to get a second flannel shirt. Waitress returned and I said look, it's freezing, can you please fix it. She got the guy who said well the door was never closed.

They were not at all busy, 3 tables total in the dining room, one of which was in front of the fire so they were ok. I have to conclude that customer comfort is not a priority.

The menu: Very very limited. Wine list - crazy small, one wine worthy of drinking and it was marginal. We ordered. Food was pretty good to excellent. But we had a guest from Italy, she's adventurous, however she did not care for her meal. Called the server over and explained, said we need another meal, it's not the restaurant's fault and I do not expect it for free. She asked for a steak and salad. At this point there is us, needing one meal, and a table of 6 that was being served. It took 40 minutes to get that meal. That meal looked good and the girl happily ate it.

It's a neat place, I hope the owner can sell it to someone who understands the business and makes something of the place. We lived in Baltimore until 2004, have been quite a few times and enjoyed it, but it's not the same.

Found Hull Street Blues on Google when searching for some brunch options near the Baltimore cruise terminal, and very glad we did. The brunch buffet was well stocked with a wide variety of options and also included both Irish cream French toast and pancakes on order. Service was very friendly, and you could tell this was a location frequented by the locals. Definitely a good spot for brunch before you head to the cruise terminal or are in the Fort McHenry area!

Brunch was amazing! The service was outstanding. Very family oriented and relaxing atmosphere. It doesn’t seem much from the outside but the food food was very tasty. Highly recommended specially if you want to get away from the harbor.
