La Scala in Baltimore was one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of going to. My girlfriend and I just went to the restaurant last weekend and we loved the experience. First, we walked around the inner harbor and Little Italy and were able to enjoy the beauty around the restaurant. We then easily found the restaurant and were able to get a nice parking spot right out front. (Or you could partake in the $6.00 valet service). Upon arrival, we did wait a little while for our table to be ready but was astonished when we saw a regulation sized Bocce Ball court right in the lower level of the restaurant which was very unique. We were then taken up a flight of stairs to our table which was nicely set for our arrival. After we sat down, we were then able to look around the restaurant to truly see how beautiful it was and how quant it was. Immersed in fine art and and interesting architecture, La Scala really does paint a small picture of Italy for it's customers. We were then approached by our fairly nice waiter. He was a decent waiter, who didm't seem to be the most friendly of waiters in which I've encountered, but did his job accordingly and made sure we were attended to and had everything we needed. The selection was the hardest part of the entire night. After the plethora of wine choices and large amount of entrees to choose from, I decided to go with the 14 oz. New York Strip Steak while my girlfriend had the Gnocchi Della Casa. After not waiting to long, both meals were presented and unbelievable. I highly recommend both of them. Not only were they delicious, but the proportions were also fit to fill any appetite. Not even counting the abundance of side dishes and bread that came along with our meals. Then came the check, I was extremely surprised when food of such quality and size did not require such a heavy price. Overall, with the high quality of the restaurant itself, its atmosphere, its food, and the price in which we paid, all were factors which made the restaurant in general, one of the best places to east in Baltimore.

We recently had a fabulous dinner at La Scala in Inner Harbor's Little Italy area. A minivan from the restaurant picked us up at our hotel, so we didn't have parking problems. One of our friends could not climb the few stairs, but there's a couple of short elevators that took her to the main level.

The menu is so extensive and looked so good that we ordered too much -- but it was all worth it! We shared an appetizer of warm figs stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon. Next was a grilled romaine salad. Both unusual and yummy. I had a veal dish that was perfectly done. All entrees come with pasta, so you get to taste some really good gravy (sauce). The tiramisu was exactly what a tirimisu lover would expect, but we were too full to appreciate the mingled tastes.

Ask for a table where you can see the back-lit mural on the wall. You feel you're in Tuscany.

We were able to sit at the bar when we came in and the bartenders were great. They were very attentive and was always available to refill the great wine selection that they had. They specialize in the Italian wines. The food was superb and was personally served by the chef.

A very nice location not too far from the Innner Harbor. Been comig here for about five years now, the food NEVER disappoints. Great preparation, an owner-chef who really cares, right along with his Mom who greets you at the door. Arrogant bartender, but that's easily avoided by going directly to your table. This is a don't miss while in Baltimore!

Ww were 3 couples in Baltimoe for a weekend and we really liked this place.Valet parking, indoor bocci ball court, great wine list and I didn't even get to the food. Possibly the Italian restaurant in Baltimore. The menu has everything and the specials top it off. All dinners are cooked to order so feel free to try something different. By the way desserts are awesome.
