“Awful Rude Service, didn't get to stay for the food.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2011

This place was recommended by a friend who lives in Baltimore, while we were there for business. We called for reservations and were told we could do separate checks, as we were on business. Ten of us went into this classy place, sat at a table set for us. The restaurant was empty at 6pm. The waiter refused to do separate checks for us and asked the owner, who also refused. He was snotty and rude when he came back to our table. Due to the rude, not flexible service we decided to go across the street to Thai Arroy, which was such a friendly atmosphere and had good food.

I would not recommend this place.

“New name= Thai Yum”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2010

We went out for thai food this past sunday after reading the recent review in the paper on this place. Previously Ten-o-six, the place has been renovated and the menu more focused on all thai food. It was between here and thai arroy as I had been to both before. We settled on Thai Yum, even after the paper review warned of poor service. Unfortunately we didn't think, that with a ravens home game and a holiday the next day, that dining on sunday night would be a problem. We waited 20 minutes after being sat until we were finally asked if we had been waited on. They seemed understaffed and the two waiters we did see seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. However, as soon as we ordered and tasted the thai yum soup and thai yum appetizer our displeasure dissolved. The waiter was very apologetic and friendly. We wanted to order the duck but they were out, sounded like the game had brought an early dinner rush. we opted for the traditional pad thai and drunken noodles. The pad thai was good, the drunken noodles were HOT. I mean HOT and we both like hot food. But to the average joe, would be too much. While very tasty, I am not sure this place pulls apart for all other thai places in the city. I went here when it was Ten-O-six and experienced a restaurant that seemed less casual and more service oriented and remember a good meal. This place has a way to go but I hope they find their way as the owner visited every table in the dining room to hear feedback and that's always a good sign that a place cares and is willing to make changes. would go back again for affordable food in federal hill but not on a game day.

“The Highlight of our Weekend Getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2009

My Husband and I dined here Friday night of Labor Day weekend on a trip to Baltimore. TEN 0 SIX was recommended by friends. We sat at one of the four outside tables and had a friendly waitress. The Happy Hour (until 8:30 PM) Specials were great money saving deals. But the highlight of the evening were the delicious entrees and deserts. Elegantly presented and extremely tasty. Every dish was beautiful!!!!! And DELICIOUS!!!!!! Even the other diners were friendly. Wish we had such a good restaurant in Phila. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

“May not be hip, but good food and good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2009

We live near this restaurant and go every month or two. We like it very much, especially for the mid-week specials. I agree with others that at times it may seem deserted and you wonder how it stays in business. But the food is always excellent, the presentation is nice, and it doesn't suffer from the high minded attitude of some places (& doesn't have lines). If you want a good meal, quiet surroundings where you can talk to friends, and reasonable (but not cheap) prices, this should work for you.
