Fun, good food, and great drinks
Troubled. Douchebaggy crowd & hopeless food.
The atmosphere, while having dinner outside was fabulous. Did not like the sweet kool ade drink they called Sangria. The blackened sea scallops appetizer was unbearably hot with habanero sauce, and I like spicy hot foods. I ordered Paella. It had one shrimp, lots of chicken, and mild, unflavored sausage.
This could have been a good meal but they just missed it on the details. The appetizer arrived without plates to eat it on - by the time we flagged someone down to bring plates it had become somewhat soggy and cool. Salad arrived with the entrees (how annoying is that!). Glass of wine arrived AFTER the entrees (ordered with the appetizer). Very limited on what wines are offered by the glass.
The food was acceptable but not great. I had the Santiago Cuba arroz con pollo - good rice but the chicken had the texture of precooked and reheated. My husband had the shrimp criollo - about 6 shrimp in the entire dish.
Lots of waitstaff milling about but no one seemed to be on top of it all. Tea and water glasses went without refills.
The best part of the whole thing was the atmosphere - sitting out enjoying a lovely evening. Personally I'd go have a drink and maybe an appetizer and have dinner elsewhere.
