“always crowded but good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Vaccaro's is always crowded and always good. Great gelato (coffee is my favorite) and their cookies are crisp- Cannoli's are out of this world. Get your desserts after eating at someplace good like Gia's or Rocco's and then walk the 2 blocks to watch folks play bocce ball- the best. Truly little Italy in Bmore.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

I got a cannoli and it was so soggy that I ended up throwing it away. If they sit out too long, better to put out fresh ones. Soggy just isn't acceptable and even after I told the girl at the register, she didn't offer something else. I won't go back.

“Step into Yesterday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Yummy pastries and creamy ice cream, Vaccaro's is like a step back into 1950. Walking distance from the Little Italy Restaurants, it'll take more than working to burn off the calories from the great cannoli.

“Great Gellato and Wonderful Italian Pasteries”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

Vaccaro's has several shop locations throughout the Baltimore region. The one we visited was located at Canton Square 2919 O'Donnell Street Baltimore, M.D. It's a small neighborhood shop with lots to offer. This evening we sampled many of the gellato flavors on the menu and none disappointed, even after having traveled trough Italy. They also offered delicious looking pastries, alas, we had no more room. Look a their specials board. Every day of the week they offer their clientele another special treat as a price so low one wonders. On Wednesday they were offering medium size gellatos for only $2 and the regular price for a small was $4. If you find yourself walking O'Dommell Street in Canton, this place is a must!

“There's a reason for the line out the door. Great desserts & they also have sandwiches.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

Great pastries. The cannoli cream had an old school style filling.(a hint of anisette). The gelato was on the money. Just remember to order the mini pastries or the sampler if you don't want to be overstuffed. The pastries are GIGANTIC ENORMOUS (GINORMOUS). They are great if you're sharing, but a lot for one person.

We even ordered a sandwich a few days later for a picnic on Federal Hill, their Mufalato. We thought that it was a muffaletta, but it ended up being a panini sandwich with muffaletta ingredients, not what we were expecting, but a pleasant surprise (unless they gave us the wrong sandwich).

I'm just confused about the misters running 24/7 outside the restaurant. Will someone explain that to me?
