“You want a taste of Baltimore? Eat here!”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Henninger's Tavern is a small restaurant tucked into a wonderful Baltimore row home in a quiet residential community. Someone mentioned the atmosphere was stuffy. Stuffy? No. Eclectic? YES! The old artwork and movie and circus posters are a thing of yesteryear mixed among modern knick-knacks that lend to the cozy and warm environment. The bar is welcoming as is the owner and staff. The staff is top notch and makes you feel as if you are being served by a friend who has known you for years. We come once or twice a year to celebrate a dear departed friend’s birthday lifting a Taddy Porter in his honor and feasting on the well varied and fresh food. Stop by here and partake. You will not regret.

“To Celebrate our Anniversary- Wanted to Try Somewhere New”
Reviewed February 2, 2012

Came here to try somewhere different after reading about it in Baltimore Magazine. After seeing and ca;lling to find they dont take reservations, we arrived at opening for dinner. To our surprise, New Years Eve is the ONLY day of the year they do seat by reservation. Well, happily they agreed to sit us at a table open until 7pm. The food was excellent, service was terrific and the place very quaint and enjoyable. Corn and crab chowder that night was superb! Will come back on another night to try the grouper sandwich at the bar.

“Romantic”

Fun little dining room with delicious food. Go early to get a table or go late and sit at the friendly bar while you wait for a table.

“Incredibly good food”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

You walk in through a small bar and then into a small restaurant, but what food. Lots of seafood choices and everyone in our party loved what they got. I can't eat seafood so ordered the filet mignon- often iffy in a seafood type place - but the steak was fabulous and the sides incredible. The service was great. Not at all fancy. Just a wonderful choice if you like really good food in a very comfortable setting.

“Charm CIty Delight”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

This lil charm is hidden off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood. We had the fried oysters and crab cakes-YUMMY. As good as the food was- the atmosphere was even better. Worth taking the road less traveled.
