lovely decor, amazing and knowledgeable service, no rush, insistence on dessert, it is the best place I've eaten in within my city. It did not break my top 5, but certainly the top 10

Wife did 3 courses (choose any you want) at $79 and added for $117 total

Steak tartare - tenderloin, chives, shallots, jalapeno oil, and pan con tomate...fresh and flavorful, not heavy at all

Local grilled peaches and grilled Maine lobster salad - Romaine lettuce, mâche, tasso ham, fava beans, aged Reggiano...peaches burst with sweetness that played well with the lobster, hame and fava beans and cheese added a smoky finish after going after the good stuff first

Pan roasted sea scallop - carmelized caulifolur, roasted walnuts, lemon brown butter...tender shellfish, smoky cauliflour and lemon played well with the brown on the top and bottom of the meat

berry crumble with vanilla ice crea - she loved it

I did 4 courses ($91 base) with wine for $137

Shrimp & grits - tassso ham, andouille sausage, fresh chives....nice fresh and stone ground topped with a savory sauce

Roasted local red beet salad - upland cress, aged balsimico, and aged Vermont goat cheese mousse...not bad, fresh and sweet but not memorable

Pan roasted Alaskan halibut - oyster and button mushroom fricassée, lemon buerre blanc....perfectly cooked, nice crisp on the top, could eat the mushrooms and sauce on anything

Grilled Magret of duck - local aged roasted beats, apricot and cherry cornbread stuffing...cherry and duck is such a great pairing, and hey, apricots are in Chinese duck sauce too; really enjoyed this as my last course, savory and sweet

had cheese for dessert and they were fresh and a great finish.

have been to every Foreman Wolf in Baltimore, and this is a proper flagship for their empire.

Blows Woodberry Kitchen away

ask for the main dining room, lots of white and color...we ate in the room with the windows, more of a den. either is nice...but the bigger one can give you more people watching.

entire menu served in the bar as well

I have had serious health issues the past year, and am immunocomromised. I received permission from my Dr to eat out at a "fine clean restaurant" before the crowds. I have eaten at most of the top restaurants in Baltimore before my illness, and Charleston tops them all. We explained my situation beforehand, and Cindy Wolf and her wonderful staff met my every need. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. We started with a complimentary tasting of a potatoe soup. I chose the 3 course menu: mushroom soup, beef tenderloin, and scallop. My husband had the lobster soup, fried oysters, veal tenderloin and Rockfish with the wine pairings. The dessers were great. Cindy was attentive and overly generous. An amazing experience. a must go if you have not been here before!

Given that our honeymoon cruise departed from Baltimore we wanted to have a dinner in a nice place and a friend recommended us the Charleston. Making the reservation was very easy through open table website, I made an additional call to let them know our celebration purpose. Since we arrived, everybody congratulated us, it was clear that the whole team received my message and were very sensitive to our special moment. It's a small place which facilitates the intimate ambiance, we could'n had more perfect amphitryons than Ryan and Maribel, the menu is short in size but chef Cindy Wolf recommendations are big perfections, portions were small and well balanced, textures, flavors and colors in a gorgeous fest. Their wine list is unbelievable, Sommelier's wine pairing are precise. We recommend you the 4 dish and wine pairing. It's a fact that eventually we will celebrate an anniversary here! Thank you Cindy, Ryan, Maribel and the rest of the crew.

Most importantly, the food was delicious and prepared to perfection. Rather than a la carte, the menu is set up to encourage a 3,4,or 5 course meal. My husband and I each selected a 4-course meal with wine pairings. The timing of the selections, presentation and overall service was excellent -- as it had better be at $134 each. We selected this restaurant because we wanted a memorable and romantic place to celebrate our anniversary. It was memorable because of the service and food, however it was not especially romantic. I was seated facing another couple (also celebrating an event) as well as several men out on the company credit card. It's a shame so few people dress up for dinner anymore. Of all places, I would expect to see people making a little more effort at this restaurant.
