We went for lunch. Great menu with big selection. I had the best margarita I've had in quite a while. The chicken tacos were amazing. Service at lunch was a little slow - 90 minutes start to finish on a slow day.

Craving some Mexican food after a couple days in Baltimore, we headed out for this place based on the reviews. We came on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't that crowded. Service was very good; our server immediately gave us a basket of some pretty good tortilla chips and three very delicious sauces. We felt like indulging a little, so we ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was definitely one of the better orders of calamari we've had, but it quickly became soggy due to the chipotle sauce. My dad ordered chicken kabobs that really filled him up well. My mom's shrimp tacos came out cold. My sister's tacos were good, though she didn't like the parmesan cheese. The steak burrito I ordered was very underwhelming, too much beans and parmesan and not enough meat. At $15 an entree, it just wasn't worth it for us. True, the food was alright, the decor was good, and the service was excellent. However, the prices are just too much for Mexican; the flavors were not enough to justify the cost.

We're from out of state, and had three days of terrible food before visiting Blue Agave tonight. Absolutely everything we had was stellar. The calamari was FRESH, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The PEI mussel app was perfect - great portion, and just enough habanero to flavor the dish without overpowering it. The pork torta is a must try, the sweet potatoes are worth the dish alone! Great, salty chips and salsa, very good drink specials, and their desserts end the meal on just the right note. The service was very attentive and friendly, as was the management. If we're ever in MD again, this would be worth the trip alone! Enjoy!!

Great Mexican restaurant located in older section of Baltimore. The menu has a nice seletion of Mexican specialties. Portions are right and tasty. Wow, I tried a house specialty Margarita made with a homemade spicy tequila, very interesting taste, but is only recommended to the daring Margarita aficionado. A must try when visiting Baltimore.

Was in Baltimore on New Year's Day and tried several places in Federal Hill, but all were too crowded and noisy. Had to leave 2 restaurants due to the noise. Blue Agave was perfect for us. Not too crowded and you could hear your dinner partners talk. The food was pretty typical for a Mexican restaurant - good and plenty of it. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient. Would recommend it to anyone.
