If you want to go to a restaurant that feels like you are in someones beautiful, welcoming, comfortable kitchen, you found the place. It may take a while, but since you can bring your own wine in, pour a glass, sit back, relax and enjoy a mezza platter. Most likely you will see the owners there and thats what makes it great!

Found this through recommendation on another foodie site. A complete delight and we will become regulars! Extremely fresh food with nice light twists on the wonderful cuisine of the Middle East. Owners exceptionally friendly and helpful (and patient.) Okay, you want handmade, one of a kind? One of the owners created each table from slices of wood, painted some very sweet paintings hanging on the walls...on and on. If you like Middle Eastern cuisine, this is not to be missed. Thank you to the owners for creating such a lovely space!

A small place, but one of my favorite quick lunch dives when I am in Baltimore on business. The food is authentic but very good; note to vegetarians: I actually think the vegetarian options are a little better than the traditional meats. Slow service the last two times I was there--they seemed understaffed--but lunch venues on Light Street are often packed.

What a gem of a find this place is! We went there for lunch today (Saturday). It is on South Light Street, Federal Hill area, with plenty of on-street parking available. The place was very clean, cozy, quiet, and tastefully decorated. The menu had several items, both vegan and non-vegan, with the vegan items clearly marked. There was even a "vegan friendly" sign at the door!
The owner was delightful, and spend time going over the menu with us. We opted for her to make us a vegan platter, with a melange of many items. They were ALL superb! Our dining companion (a carnivore) had the mousaka platter, which she deemed the best she had eaten. We ended with a Turkish coffee and amazing cinammon/cardomom/coconut vegan pudding for desert.
It was so good that we had to take some carry-out items with us from the beautiful display cases.
I can't say enough good things about this place. In fact, I can't think of one negative....except I wish it was closer to Columbia, MD!

This is a small family owned restaurant which is both cozy and welcoming. That being said, because it is smaller they do have a limited selection, so if you are looking for some grand Lebanese dishes this isn't your place. However, what they do have is delicious and their hummus is some of the best I've ever tasted.

Even if you don't enjoy the food as much, you will still live the experience. Owners get to know and speak with their customers.
