We really liked it here. Very entertaining as well as historic. It is worth a 2 hour visit. Our daughter loved it as well.

“Fine museum dedicated to Maryland sports”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Nice museum with reaching exhibits that cover all aspects of sports history in the state of Maryland. A decent amount of space was given to Babe Ruth, The Orioles, The Colts, and The Ravens, but other Baltimore area legends and passions such as Michael Phelps, Lacrosse, Pimlico, and Maryland college achievements. This museum, as well as the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum, will give the sports lover a nice treat when visiting Oriole Park or M&T. As a sports fan myself, I truly enjoyed the mix of relics and representations.

“Be a Sport and Visit Sports Legends”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

Now is a perfect time to visit the SLM and enjoy the many great Maryland sports teams and individuals who made Maryland a great state for Sports. Their gift shop has lots of great holiday gifts for the true baseball and football fan. If you join you even get a discount that will pay for itself by purchasing a gift or two. It is worth a visit during the winter months.

“Baltimore sports”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

This is a very interesting place if you are into sports and don't mind only looking at Maryland sports. Has a good mix of professional and amateur sports and a lot of college stuff. Ends at gift store(which you can get into without tour) which has a nice selection of stuff. I really liked it but if you are expecting non-Maryland sports you will be disappointed.

“Repository for all sports things baltimore”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

The upstairs area is devoted entirely to the Orioles from beginning to current day. There are several team rings and a World Series trophy. Older kids will enjoy but this is more of a museum for adults who remember these players. Down stairs there is a small section dedicated to the Negro League teams from Maryland. The rest for some of the minor league teams and some college etc things. At the end of the tour is the collection of Baltimore Colts memorabilia. What I found interesting was a small display of how baseballs and bats are made. Well appointed gift shop.
