I was there for a birthday party (7 persons) this was recommended to us from a friend. The service was above average there were a few times you would wait a while for someone to fill your glass of water no big deal. The Appetizers were the best part of the meal we got a mixed plate grilled eggplant, roasted peppers, goat cheese and Prosciutto, nice presentation and absolutely delicious. Which brings me to the main course I had the Italian country sausage special which was their homemade country sausage and peppers. When the plate arrived there were two sausages cut in half and laid out like a star on the plate placed in the middle of the sausages was there pieces of supposed to be roasted peppers? Coming from a very traditional Italian family this was not what I was expecting, also the red peppers still had the burnt skin on them not like the appetizer plate, this confused me. I was quite hungry to say the least and tried my daughter’s meat balls again very disappointed it was melon ball sized meat ball which tasted like ground beef as if it had not been cooked in the sauce. I tried several of the dishes around the table, again disappointed. The only dish that was great was a chicken special that was sautéed in olive oil capers and olives with tomatoes. I wished I had ordered that dish, for the price you can do better. There are Italian places with flavor at half the price.

“Italian food”
Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

Unlike the previous reviewer, we were rushed. The service was spotty. The food was over spiced with black pepper and I was coughing between bites. It is not hard to make pasta edible.
It was also very hot despite requesting an increase in the air.
I am sure they mean well but Baltimore is becoming more savvy and they will have to work a bit more.

“masterful food, European service”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

In Europe, you are not rushed at dinner. The same occurs at Granos. If you want to sit and talk, you sit and talk. Some may say the service is slow. But, it is actually not, and the staff is very attentive.
The food: Terrific pastas, great specials. They are highly trained and skilled at the craft of cuisine, with an emphasis on modern Italian.
A very enjoyable meal and a great experience.
