Did not have 2 beds available for 4 people. Did not have rollaway or cot. I started googling hotels and everything in Baltimore was booked. The front desk staff were not helpful and did not offer service for luggage. The parking deck was across the street. I had to ask for luggage service. We parked in the deck for 10 minutes and had to pay $5.00 every time we left. Parking was supposed to be free on the voucher we used.

Homeless were outside and abrupt/rude if you didn't stop.
My niece was approached by someone inside hotel lobby asking for a ride to a shelter. I did not realize it until we left.

My niece followed the instructions for breakfast in room.
Put it on door knob way before midnight deadline and no one picked it up.

No offer for extra towels, cups, coffee pods until manager finally got involved after 3rd try at front desk. The male said, "I don't know what a cot or roll away bed is" He got on his earpiece trying to ask someone it appeared. Then he said ,"we must not have any, no one has answered my page."

The breakfast in restaurant is very good. The rooms seemed clean and nice bathroom and mattress on bed.

Caring customer service would have gone a long way. Some kind of restitution, just a small discount, or meal would have helped give the allusion the hotel staff cared.

RRbrobin,

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay.

I have taken the time to review your comments carefully, as these are not the typical types of comments our hotel receives. We provide outstanding service at every opportunity. I am sorry we could not meet your expectations.

After much review, as well as review by our corporate offices, we want to clarify the confusion, as we attempted to do with you prior to you writing this review.

The room type selected was to accommodate two people. Your reservation you made was for two adults. You arrived and expected accommodations for more than two people. The request for an additional bed could not be honored because our hotel does not provide additional bedding. As you mentioned in your comments, finding rooms was tough - the entire city was full. I understand you may have confirmed a room because availability was extremely limited. I am sorry a room was confirmed that wasn't what you were looking for and that we had none of the room types available you wanted, nonetheless, you confirmed standard room that accommodates two people.

I'm sorry to hear of the other concerns you've mentions here in this review (like parking, homeless, etc) as they were not mentioned in your original complaint.

The promotional package you confirmed did NOT include complimentary self parking. The promotion was for individuals paying Best Flexible Rate; and in this case, your reservation was on rewards redemption - therefore, free parking didn't apply. We have clearly posted the rules and regulations for this limited promotion.

Finally, the individual you stated you spoke with who had the ear piece is actually a bellman. He would have been more than happy to assist with luggage. The bellmen have ear pieces to help communicate with the front desk as our bellmen are outside the front of the hotel to assist with luggage, directions and general questions from our guests.

I am glad you enjoyed the restaurant, clean comfortable room and bathroom. Our team does care, as you can tell by our TripAdvisor rankings here. I am sorry that their efforts could not met your expectations.

Safe Travels,

Jason C

This was a cool contemporary style hotel located in what used to be an old Baltimore YMCA. We loved it. Our stay was nice from start to finish. We were greeted by a very friendly person staff person at the front desk and check-in went very smoothly. We had a corner room on the 5th floor (#501) that was a very nice size. There were at least 7 large windows on two sides of the room with shades to block out the light on the bedroom side windows. There was no bathtub in the bathroom, just a very large standing shower (which was great). The bed was comfortable, and the overall feel and comfort of the room was good. My partner and I ate at the lobby level restaurant which was good (breakfast was especially good). The hotel is located on a very busy street in Baltimore and garage parking was available just across the street (and it was inexpensive). Overall, I would highly recommend the Hotel Indigo as a quality place to stay in Baltimore.

I stayed here overnight for a wedding around the corner, and I was very pleased with Hotel Indigo. When arriving at the hotel I was aware they had parking, but I wasn't aware that it was in conjunction with the garage across the street so be mindful so you don't have to circle the block, lol. I was able to check in fairly quickly and I had reserved a King corner room. It was a very spacious and modern room, with a nice closet area, desk area, seating area, and the bathroom had one of the best lighted mirrors for putting on makeup. The hotel itself had a bar and restaurant, which I didn't take advantage of but a friend did order a wrap from the hotel and said it was decent. The bed itself was very comfortable, and even though the hotel seemed to be pretty busy I didn't hear a lot of things out in the hall or the other rooms. When it was time to check out the next day, they'd already provided my bill under the door, and I was able to get the parking across the street validated. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a room in Baltimore.

Great room, decor, comfort, cool lobby, convenient location, walkable to Inner Harbor, $5 parking lot across street. Great value, too. Nice people at front desk. Very hip vibe. don't know why i have to put a minimum of 200 words.

My friend and I stayed here overnight when we came to Baltimore to see a show at the Lyric. The hotel is lovely, in a great location, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and our waiter brought us complimentary glasses of prosecco, which was very thoughtful. We had to leave early the next day, but it looked like the restaurant served a nice brunch. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.
