Great way to get around. The captain and crew were knowledgeable of places in the area, as well as the harbor traffic. Friendly crew,
It was great that they had a military discount.

Used the taxi to get from the Rusty Scupper and Visionary Art museum to the National Aquarium and back. Very relaxing. Beats walking around the harbor perimeter.
First, this is a really great service to get to different parts of the inner harbor. Employees are friendly and professional.
I stupidly bought the 2-day unlimited for my family of 4. Due to bad weather (not the fault of Baltimore Water Taxi) 2 days in a row, we only got 2 rides out of the tickets.
Worse than that, both times that we were stranded (again, due to bad weather, which is not the fault of the company), it was impossible to find out online about the stopped service. Though the ticket may say that BWT posts updates on Twitter and Facebook, they do not. I called the service to ask about when service might be resumed, and I was told to check Facebook and Twitter. No update had been posted.
I'm short, if BWT would simply post when service is suspended due to bad weather, I would rate this service much higher.
HI LovesLatinAmerica,
We are genuinely sorry about your experience. This is one of our shortfalls, but something we are investing time, talent, and treasure to resolve. We hope to have a better messaging system for service interruption by 2020. This does not help your situation, and for that, I am truly sorry. If you would like to talk to someone about a refund, please send your contact information and ticket confirmation number to info@baltimorewatertaxi.com and reference this post.
We wanted to use this service but we were so perplexed by the schedule we were unable too . . . . .PLEASE clarify this so we can enjoy it next time
Hi C DM,
Sorry for your confusion. The Baltimore Water Taxi operates like a waterborne bus system with vessels transiting to and from fixed stops ("Landing") along designated routes on a scheduled departure timeline. Departure schedules are posted at our stop and on our website:
Visit wwwBaltimoreWaterTaxi.com >> MAPS & SCHEDULES >> Select a Route
You can also print a 2019 schedule using the following link: https://baltimorewatertaxi.com/wp-content/uploads/Schedules-Summer2019.pdf
the water taxi is a nice way to travel. We were confused at first. We read the sign and it made it sound that you could only pay by a qr code on your phone. We did not know how to do that so we walked and bussed our way around. On the way back from Fell's point there were workers and they said you can pay on the taxi with a credit card.. no cash accepted.
Was a fun way to go to a couple of places. We went to Fells Point and had lunch and looked in shops. Was cool and staff was pleasant. They just run the boat, no commentary.
Only issue was that one of the docking sites was closed due to high tide so we had a bit more walking to do on a hot day than we might have liked.
