Owner description: Somewhere between a water-based bus line and open air adventure, the Baltimore Water Taxi is the fun, fast and affordable way to navigate the city. Operating with a crew of licensed Captains and a fleet of USCG inspected commercial passenger vessels along dedicated routes servicing fixed stops in/around the Baltimore harbor. Tickets can be purchased once you board a boat using cash or credit card (only). The $14 ADULT ALL DAY TICKET is by far our most popular option for those passengers looking to explore the many attractions that outline the Baltimore Harbor. Adult passenger will be able to ride the Water Taxi to all 13 of our stops as many times as you like for the entire day. You also get our exclusive "Letter of Marque" coupon book with tons of savings within walking distance from our stops. The $8 ADULT ONE WAY TICKET is perfect for those riders who know where they're going and want to get there in a stress free environment. Good for a single trip with a known destination. The $7 CHILDREN'S TICKET is for those passengers ages 3 to 10. It is valid for both a One Way and All Day passage provided the rider is accompanied by an adult ticket holder. All Children's Tickets have a coupon on the reverse side.

$12. Ride all day. Take as many water taxis as you want. Service does stop at 5PM. There are a number of destinations with your embarcation point being the Inner Harbor. Fell's Point and Fort McHenry are the most popular destinations and one could spend most of a day in either one. Fort McHenry does charge to get up close to the Fort and to the Museum, but there are plenty of free areas including a large lush field and a nature-rich sea wall trail which sometimes offers birding tours. Fell's Point is where most people stop and stay and dine, drink, shop and explore the old wharf-influenced streets with their vintage architecture. It is best if you are staying near the Inner harbor as you can walk from your hotel to the Water Taxi. Otherwise, you need to take a cab or bus (or pay to park your car) at the Inner Harbor embarkation point. Parking, paricularly can be pricey, The pilots and "first mates" on the Water Taxi can be quite taciturn, to say the least. They are not heavy in the charm department, but they are watchful and seem to take safety very seriously.

There was a stop only a block from our hotel - we got the full day pass and used it several times. There are many stops, it runs until 11 on the weekends in April and got us everywhere we wanted to go very quickly. Much easier and nicer than driving. Employees were friendly.

I frequent the inner harbor often and make it a point to use the water taxis to get around. You get great views of the Harbor and all the boats that cruise in and out. The best way to go visit Fort Mc Henry

The best way to see Baltimore, MD is by going on the Water Taxi. For only $12.00 a person you can get unlimited rides to Fell's Point and various other locations. It was nice to do a 45 minute Harbor ride at the end of the night. A+

The Baltimore Water Taxi was a very convenient mode of traffic to get around the inner harbor. The taxi has a total of 16 stops, with several close to each other where you could walk if you chose to. There are several routes that will connect to the several outlying stops which includes Ft. McHenry.

If you do not have a car, the water taxi is an efficient mode of transportation. It costs $12 per adult which is valid all day. The hours vary depending on the day and time of year, but generally runs from 1000 to 2300. Make sure to plan ahead, as it will take some time to make it from then harbor to one of the outlying stops. They stop taking people to Ft. McHenry at 1500 as the park closes at 1700. The last taxi leaving the park is at 1700 (most of the year), but probably don't want to wait until then to guarantee a spot.

The taxis run regular routes every 20-30 minutes or so. If it is crowded you might have to wait for the next one, but this was never an issue when I was there. They also provide you a coupon book with some good deals. If you are planning to spend most of your time in the inner harbor, the taxi is the best value rather than renting a car and paying overpriced parking fees. Make sure to bring warm clothes if it is not hot outside, as it can get cold on the water.
