Owner description: One of America's oldest seaports dating from the 1600s is today an important landmark and popular tourist destination. Park your car and follow the brick promenade through this bustling complex of eateries, stores, museums, entertainment and children's attractions. Sample the fresh seafood right out of Chesapeake Bay.

Visiting from Chicago. Had a great time in the Inner Harbor. You can't go wrong walking around the inner harbor.

We were staying at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel, which is close to everything in the Inner Harbor. Has a really fantastic view of the inner harbor. Can't go wrong staying here.

Next we went over to the Hard Rock Cafe. Food there is ok, but I thought expensive for just burgers. 4 burgers and app cost around 100 bucks.

The Aquarium was next. 4 people cost around 110 for just the basic tour. Thought I should have seen more for what I paid, but still good. But still rough walking around. Not too much room for all the people that are there.

We also went to the Fudgery in the Inner Harbor. Great place and if you like fudge and some great singing, this is the place to be.

Definitely recommended. I always loved visiting Baltimore Harbor since I was a kid. The scenery is very nice. It's a great place to write or draw. You can get chocolate fudge here.

✓ Appropriate for All Ages
This is a wonderful place to take kids, to visit with your significant other, to see with your family or friends, etc. You can go to the harbor with anyone.

✓ Near museums and the National Aquarium

✓ Street Entertainment
Often times there is someone performing a show. I have seen an artist paint, magician, circus acts, etc. Very cool!

✓ Places to Shop
There are nice stores here. Check them out! You can also buy baltimore souvenirs.

✓ Places to Eat
Hungry? There are so many great places to eat. You can find food to fit your mood and your price range. You can even find Rita's Ice here!

✓ Cleaner Water
The water is getting cleaner. There was a point a few years ago where the water was so polluted that you could smell the stench by walking near it. It's so much clearer now. Glad that there aren't a ton of jellyfish either anymore, although they could make a comeback.

Now that the water is cleaner, you might be interested in taking a water taxi or cruise.

Park your car in one of the many packing decks just a couple of blocks from the waterfront and enjoy Baltimore's Inner Harbor which offers much for everyone, most within easy walking distance, including street entertainers, historic ships, a screw pile lighthouse, the National Aquarium, museums, paddle boats, lots of restaurants, nightclubs and shopping. If you would like to visit a further sight such as Fort McHenry, one can take the water taxi. Our entire family had a great time spending a Saturday here well into the evening.

The Inner Harbor is a really nice place to walk with lots of places to eat and shop. Parking can be difficult and expensive, so try to take public transportation to get to the harbor.
