Bruna and Carmenantonio have all bases covered. From Antonio's Special Tiramisu (his invention back in Naples), to the vast quantity of Italian dessert favorites, to Bruna's buffet lunches and dinners................Wow!!
If you are a true Italian, you will appreciate the authenticity of this Bakery and the food options that it offers.
On Bank street off Central Ave in downtown Baltimore in Little Italy. If in town, a must stop.
Ciao!

Tried this bakery as it is owned by the inventor of tiramisu, and it was fabulous! Ate lunch and the pasta dishes were excellent, the homemade lemonade was the best I've ever had, the meatball sub was so big it made us laugh! Had cannoli and tiramisu....both perfect. Took home 3 types of cookies that are great. Loved everything...even the table arrangements of fresh mint grown out front in planters! Can't wait to go back again....

Piedigrotta is one of our favorite places in Baltimore. We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner there - as well as just stopping in for dessert. Bruna and Antonio are charming, friendly, and experienced in running a bakery and getting to know their customers. You have to try the tiramasu...whether or not you believe Antonio invented it - it stands unparalleled in our minds, so we're believers!

I stopped at this bakery on the way home from work. As I walked into the store, there was the excellent aroma of baked goods that overcame me. I got the pomegranate gelato that was excellent-although the $4.50 price was high.
The place is right next to a large public housing project, so one might be careful, especially when it begins t get dark.
