“Perfect for all”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

We were there while it was pouring down rain but that did not stop us. We love history and to be here and see the George Washington Monument is outstanding. Can easily spend an entire day in the Mount Vernon area. There are multiple stops for the Charm City Circulatory (free public transit system) in this area so it is easy to visit this wonderful district.

“Lived there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

Mt. Vernon is both scruffy and elegant, the best of historic Baltimore and maybe a feeling that it could be a better representative of the city. I love it regardless. Lived there in the early '90s, walked to work downtown, loved the park, the bars, the restaurants.

“Still a hit”

I love this area of town--so much diversity! Wander through the shops, have lunch or dinner, have a glass of wine--it can be whatever you make it. The best part is there are few if any 'chain' restaurants or shops!

“Architecture is fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

It's a great neighborhood to walk around and try to peak in windows. It looks like Europe. The park in the center is gorgeous and maintained by volunteer residents. Try to go into The Engineers Club on the park and just look.
