Nice neighbour to stroll around on a nice day. In the afternoon, I wandered into a nice wine shop, a French cafe... In the evening, nice restaurants, cafes and bars.

Very nice area, filled with charming townhouses and little cafes. It seemed prettier than the rest of the city...

Being from Baltimore, I really like the area of mount Vernon for so many reasons. Transportation is accessible from the light rail to penn station and from the museums, restaurants and historic churches. I love the architecture of the area, would appreciate the opportunity to live in this part of town.
There are churches in every direction and students heading to MICA, Peabody institute so its a cool cultural scene that makes you feel lie you're part of the urban crowd in a historic setting. I do believe that the city of Baltimore needs to do more to upgrade the mount Vernon area by attracting more upscale whooping and restaurants on Charles and St. Paul streets, etc. similar to the city of philadelphia's downtown area. There is work to be done but I still love mount Vernon, it totally rocks.

This is probably one of the most famous and beautiful parts of Baltimore City, Mount Vernon is full with charming townhouse and little cafes and it's also know by the gay life in the area. It's definitely a place to see in Maryland.
