“A comfortable stay.”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

The hotel is approx. 35 minutes from the Baltimore airport and 15 minutes from Inner Harbor. The hotel is in a small shopping/business community. Just outside the front door you can walk around a nice outdoor shopping mall, there is a restaurant and cafe.

The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, although the decor and rooms are a little outdated. The sleep number beds were okay, if you are only staying one or two nights, it is a little silly as you can't really find the "number" that gives you the best sleep.

The room service food was good and service fast. The apple crumb was delicious!

Free internet and parking. Breakfast was not included and although the menu looks limited, they filled my request with items not listed.

Due to the location, staff and cleanliness, it was easy to look past the outdated appearance.

Room Tip: I was in room 471 which was directly above the delivery entrance. It was loud in the morning.

Staff was very friendly and helpful but had differing views on hotel policies. Sleep number beds were great! Hotel needs some updating but was very clean. Restaurant was limited and pricey. Nice location as part of the mall and park like setting. Good price.

Caged community motel set among trees and condos. Don't bring the travel trailer though. parking is plentiful in the dark dingy garage. Staff is friendly, Lobby is clean. Hotel itself needs a remake, rugs are old and stained, Bath tile grout shows discoloration, Doors and walls are scratched. Bed was big and clean as was the room. AC worked. Ok water pressure No crawlie critters. Cute court yard mall, expensive though, really needs to be remodeled, dirty, stained, uneven walkways. Bald guy dressed in green walking his dogs in the grass was uncalled for.
I did a lot of searching for hotels close to the inner harbor, this one was 10 minutes away. Probably the best of the 30 or so listed on map quest on rt 83. I would stay here again, basically because this seemed to be a bit above the rest. They should post a menu for the onsite food, But I went to the outback in center city, that was good and only 15 minutes away.

This has been a hotel our family has used for at least 25 years. It has gone through at least one renovation during that period and could surely use an other. The staff is very nice and many have been with the hotel for years. They try to accomodate the guests. It is conveniently located for the family functions we attend when in the Baltimore area and has some wonderful shops right on the premises/complex. However, there was a time the stores catered to a higher end customer. There were many ladies specialtiy shops and a splendid shop which sold estate peices. We would love to see it brought back to its past quality.

Stayed here one night with my family. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and professional. Helped me switch to a room with two beds instead of one. Lobby looked a little dated and so did the room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. I think the property is going thru a renovation so it might not be an accurate statement if it will become newer looking soon. But, overall no problems, good nights sleep, etc. Priced similar to other hotels in the area.

Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, atmosphere quiet and safe, staff always helpful. Best part for our purposes is the parking, which is accessible by elevator, obviating the need for valet. And it's free. Would have appreciated a refrigerator in the room, but I did not specify. Breakfasts are very good, which raises the question--why not dinners? Crossroads Cafe is moved to lobby area when hotel is not full. It is too open and public, but ok for a snack.

Room Tip: Because hotel is set back in Cross Keys, there are no noisy rooms.

I have booked this hotel through Priceline; they called me two days before the trip to tell that the hotel is overbooked and would not honor my reservations (which was fully paid for). They made it sound as if overbooking was like a tsunami they have absolutely no control for. They offered to book me in another hotel, but it was almost 10 mile north further from the convention center I would have to go to every day and I was not planning to rent a car. I refused and spent another couple of hours on hold with Priceline to cancel my reservation. Priceline did not offer anything either but at least they apologized. Ouch!

Dear tagor007,

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in regards to your recent reservation via Priceline.com.

We understand your frustration and wish we could have contacted you ourselves prior to the date of your arrival. Unfortunately when a booking is made through a website such as Priceline.com we do not have access to any of the guest contact information associated with the reservation.

Due to the fact that we had not means of contact for you we contacted Priceline.com prior to your arrival to ensure that you were informed that alternative accommodations had been made at another hotel in advance in an attempt to make this situation as painless as possible.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. If you would like to discuss this further please contact the hotel directly.
