I stayed for one night and found that the hotel is not worth the price paid. The bathroom was very small and I found some dirty spots on the toilet seat and the sink. I called the front desk and the lady rudely said that she will send housekeeping. No one arrived for hours, so I finally decided to let it go and go to bed. In addition, I found that the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress needs to be upgraded in that hotel and customer service needs to reflect the Marriott standard at that location. I have stayed there in the past and have had good experience. Maybe this was a single employee and not reflective of the entire staff. But nevertheless, the mattress was very old and needed to be updated.

From the moment we checked in until we left we were treated wonderfully. When we checked in I requested an upper floor with a water view along with a cot for my son. They indicated they did not have a water view but would give me a suite which would include a pull out couch for my son. It was a beautiful suite and we were extremely happy. The walls are thin and we did hear our neighbors upon occasion but it was ok. The location was ideal and we were very close to all attractions. The fitness center was adequate and the pool was ok.

I was here for one night for a business meeting. Arrived very late and was quickly registered. Elevators are very fast - important for a tall hotel. Very clean room. Also a great location. I visited the business office - which needed to be maintained better as several machines were not functioning properly - and accidentally left my usb drive behind. I later called the hotel and they FedEx'd my drive back to me. What a relief as that USB had critical information on it. Great staff!

OK... Unless you get a really good rate with Priceline or other online site you should always expect to pay a high price at a Marriott hotel located in a city center. However, the high prices would be more tolerable if they did not then proceed to hit you with additional charges for in room internet ($12/day) and just about every other service. The business center charges outrageously high fees for the use of computers and printers but the advantage I suppose is that it was almost always empty. At well over 200 dollars a night you would think that Marriott would be able to include free internet. After all, most budget hotels are able to do that. Parking fees are also high (up to $40/day). The gym is decent and amazingly does not cost extra! Great location though, and Baltimore has free buses (Charm City Circulator) that will take you near just about every interesting site in the city. These buses come very near the hotel every ten minutes or so.

We were told ours was to be a standard room with a city view with our conference rate. We were escorted to a wonderfully large room with a harbor view. We didn't ask for an upgrade, but think being a Marriott Rewards Member, they must have just done that.

This is a beautiful building and location. The staff was incredible. The food was outstanding. There was some work being done near by, but for the most part, was very quiet. Our room was very clean. We'd stay here again in a heart beat.

This was our 3rd stay here, and the 1st since July of 2007. The rooms need redone badly! Our room had complete Inner Harbor view, but that is the only positive. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were vacant holes where the refrigerator and mini-bar once were. The bathroom door was so warped that it would not close properly. All in all, a very disappointing stay. Will not return.

The Marriott Waterfront has an ideal location convenient to the Harbor, Little Italy and Fells Point. It's even walking distance to Federal Hill. No need for transportation, short cab ride from Amtrak, great weekend getaway for DC, NYC or Penn...
Check out the Sunday brunch even if you live in Baltimore, it's a sight! Oh yeah, excellent conference facilities and services.
