“good, could be great”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

As others have mentioned, the hotel is undergoing renovations. This means most of the first floor is inaccessible and the restaurants are in less than ideal temporary locations. Almost all the negatives I experienced had to do with these renovations.
The lower-cost wifi, at $12.95/night, was not great; occasionally it would stop working altogether.

Aside from these problems, everything was positive. The staff was excellent; I asked for a high floor and harbor view, and I got both. The room was not huge but pleasant, and the large windows are cheerful even aside from the stunning view (I could see Camden Yards and the football stadium across the Inner Harbor too!).
The longish line at check-in wasn't a problem -- it cleared in about two minutes. Check-out was a snap.
The location is very good -- easy walk to Little Italy and Fells Point.
My room was very quiet.

I had a bath tub, and the bathroom was in very good shape, though not brand new.
I had a mini fridge, and it was not stocked so I had room for a few things.

Altogether quite satisfied, and I think it will be a first rate hotel when the renovations are done.

Room Tip: Harbor View is best.

We recently stayed at the Baltimore Waterfront for 2 nights while attending a wedding. To start with, it is located just next to the italian district and is walking distance to Fells point. Also surrounded by a multitude of restaurants and hotels w/in walking distance. The lobby is is nice and parking is available at a cost of $26/night in the garage on the next block (connected by a skybridge)

We got upgraded to a king suite which was very nice. The room itself is large with a pull out sofa, king bed, and an additional flat sofa that a kid can comfortably sleep on. Our room also had a small fridge, and safe. The view is spectacular of the waterfront from the 18th floor room we had. The room styling is nothing out of the ordinary, but what you would expect for a Marriott.

My biggest gripe with the hotel is the limited food selection. We tried both room service and the very small restaurant on the 31st floor, and were not impressed. I think they are in the process of renovating and that may be why, but I was disappointed to say the least. Instead of the room service, you are better off walking a few blocks to a nearby restaurant.

Overall, a decent hotel for the price. The bed was comfortable, and the shower is really nice, and we got a good nights rest. I just wish the hotel had more to offer than just a place to sleep.

Room Tip: Try to get a high floor that faces the harbor.

Conveniently located with easy access to the inner harbor. Friendly, attentive staff. At the time of our stay, my daughter had a broken elbow, and upon returning to our room, there was a large container of Haagen daaz vanilla ice cream with a get well card for my daughter signed by the employee that had completed our check in. Nice touch!

This hotel has a wonderful location and my experience with the staff was very good. They are currently undergoing needed renovations and have taken all the right steps to handle them.

The restaurant is on the 31st floor in a former suite. It feels strange but works. The food and service is very good.

This is a well run and well located Marriott. It is not a Four Seasons ( nor should be compared to the one nearby) and it will not cost you anywhere near as much even though its location is almost identical.

I would definitely stay here again as I know when the renovations are complete, it will be close to an excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the lower floors facing the harbour

My husband's job have a Christmas Party here every year. Very clean, great staff, great food and beautiful decor. The beds are always so comfortable. Close to the harbor. Really love this hotel. Parking cost about $25.00 - $30.00, valet parking is also available. Connection from garage to hotel inside.

Room Tip: Get a high enough floor to get a great view. Request waterfront if you can.

I liked our room, but there wasn't much not to like. The view was great. It was clean. The hotel was in a great location on the water. The brunch was fantastic. The only reason why I didn't give five stars is because customer service was lacking. At check in, there were two people at the desk but only one person was checking people in. We were just handed the keys with no explanation as to where things were located in the hotel. At brunch, the staff didn't seem to know much about how the brunch worked so far as pricing and what's included. This hotel has everything it needs to be great but the service is just deplorable here. Not a friendly face in sight.
