Here's what's great about this hotel. Everything. The location, kindness, helpfulness and knowledgeability of the staff, room quality and cleanliness of the rooms, layout and facilities. The food quality was surprisingly good for hotel food. One of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I've had in a while, and since I travel a lot. that's a nice surprise.

I booked a one night stay at the Baltimore Marriott on Priceline- I was expecting a crappy, parking-lot view room, and so was pleasantly surprised to find myself on the fifteenth floor with a gorgeous harbor view.

Even though the rooms here feel a tiny bit tired (the hotel just seems in need of an update -- a fresh coat of paint, some brighter lights in the bathroom, and so on), the harbor views are spectacular, and the rooms are spacious even if, as is often the case at Marriotts, you might feel nickled and dimed a lot ($12.95 for internet, $25/night for self-parking).

The one piece of advice I have: this is a thin-walled hotel, and the staff seems to know it (the sign by the elevator on the 15th floor urged guests to be quiet as they walked down the hallway!) - you will hear folks in the hallway even when they are quiet, and you will hear when your neighbors turn the water on in the morning for a shower. So I could imagine in the busy season when the hotel is full, things could be a bit noisy.

The staff seem eager to please. However, there are operational shortfalls. There seems to be little coordination behind the scenes and as such service performance is variable.

The bed was the worst I've had in a long time. It was in room 520 and sagged severely. Facility starting to get a little tired. However, the location is fantastic and the lobby areas very useful and pleasant.

A couple of potentially useful facts: Room service breakfast (traditional) only costs 42 cents more than the buffet downstairs. The buffet is not great - not enough bread variety, eggs are bad, and sausage was tough and not tasty (each day for two days). However, room service sausage was just as bad.

Room Tip: At 6:00 AM each morning (4 in a row) some fan kicks on at the parking garage that is across the stre...

We recently stayed four nights at this hotel for my son's wedding. The location is perfect, the hotel was very nice but it seemed that not one bill for the stay (we had many rooms) was correct. Valet parking was $40.00 a day but if you are not going to use your car it is cheaper to just park in the garage and leave the car. Everything is extra here so be aware of that. The staff was quite nice and all were quite adept at apologizing for mistakes on the bill. The pool area and gym were great, there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel that are much cheaper to eat at. Internet is also quite expensive however there is a computer right near the front desk that you can use for free. If not for all the mistakes with the billing I would have given this hotel a higher rating.

We recently spent two nights at the hotel. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and bars in Fell's Point. We parked our car upon arrival and never drove it again until our departure .We rode the free city shuttle bus to the aquarium. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. ArKia, who checked us in, was pleasant and couldn't have helped us more in finding us the perfect room. I would definitely suggest this hotel to our friends and I'm looking forward to another get a way weekend to Baltimore.

My husband and I stayed here for while we were on a business/pleasure trip. We were blessed to book the room for a deeply discounted rate, as I have a close friend of the family who works for Marriott. Loved, loved the location. We were able to leave our car parked and walk to stores and restaurants, which is a good thing as I forgot my after 5-dress for an event we were attending that evening. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel lobby was beautiful. We did not have an opportunity to try the restaurant, room-service or visit the pool. The downside is that we had to pay to park, but that's with all the hotels in the waterfront. The rooms were o.k. We had a great view of the harbor. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the water, make sure to stay on the higher floors (7 and up).

This is one of the nicest Marriott hotels.

It is in a perfect location- close to Aquarium, Science Center, movies,Port Discovery, great restaurants, boat rides.

Beautiful rooms.

A lovely swimming pool, too!!!!

The staff is very very helpful.

Leah, at the front desk, arranged for an 80th birthday surprise for my husband. Who could want for anything more than her smiling face greeting us?

Room Tip: As for a good room!
