“Great staff, warm welcome”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

The hotel has a great location by the aquarium, shopping and the downtown area. Rooms are standard Marriott fare with some great views of the harbor. The concierge lounge was of a good size with nice evening snacks and breakfast and again - great views. The staff from the check-in to banquet people to the concierge lounge attendant were sharp and very pleasant. I had a very small opportunity to practice a foreign language with a lovely young woman from Finland at the check-in! (She was gracious enough to not laugh at me!) There is a garage adjacent to the hotel with expensive - but going rate - self park. There is a Whole Food about a half-block away.

All in all a nice stay.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations! The rooms were so spacious and clean. The staff was extremely nice and the food was excellent! I loved the atmosphere and just the location is absolutely breathtaking. It is located next to all the shops and the boats are right there at the dock. You have the perfect hotel if you are going to be in the Baltimore area.

Room Tip: The staff is really nice, if you want a higher room or corner room they will work to get you exactly...

I stayed here for a conference and really enjoyed it. The staff was terrific and was always visible if you needed anything. On the first day of the conference they were stationed everywhere to direct you to the place you needed to be while you became familiar with the layout of the floors. The food provided during our after hour receptions was much better than at most conference hotels. However, one of the best things about the hotel was the conference space itself. The conference rooms were spacious (although a few were really cold so take warm clothing), and the corridors were expansive to easily handle the traffic between sessions. In addition, the exhibit hall had plenty of room for the vendors who attended.

My room was spacious, and had a great view of the Inner Harbor. The housekeeping staff member assigned to my room went well beyond what was expected when straightening each day -- right down to the tissue rose in the top of the tissue box.

I self parked in the garage -- remember to turn right down the street before the hotel driveway to get to it. It is not noted as Marriott as it is run by PMI, a private company. It connects to the hotel, so you don't have to ever walk outside. The rate was $ 26.00 per day. Be careful as you only get a 15 minute grace period from the time you pay your bill to leave the garage. You can pay in the hotel lobby by the front door, or at the machine inside the garage. Either way, do not pay until you are absolutely ready to leave.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Inner Harbor area.

The hotel was clean and staff was courteous. There's nothing really over the top outstanding about this hotel, it's just in a good location.

The only downside was valet was simply not efficient. There were a ton of wedding groups the weekend I was there, and the valet could not handle the amount of cars and traffic coming through the hotel.

The Marriott Waterfront is a great hotel in a great location. The front desk staff were very friendly (although there never seemed to be more than 1-2 at a time during peak check-in/checkout times). Rooms were what to be expected from a Marriott - beds were comfortable, tons of pillows, nice bathroom amenities.

I don't like the fact that it's 2013 and Marriott still insists on charging $12.95-$15.95 per day for wireless internet but if you're a Marriott Rewards premium member, it's waived.

I was at the hotel for a conference so I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food that was catered for the event was really great. Breakfasts had fresh salmon, and I mean fresh!

The gym was small but nice. It had good quality equipment and I was pleased with it. They have an indoor pool which is very well attended. The young man working there when I was there was very diligent in making sure it had the right ph/salt water/etc levels and was a very nice guy. If the weather's nice, you can go to the outdoor patio next to the pool with beautiful views of the Inner Harbor, especially during the sunset.

All in all, I'd recommend this hotel to visitors to Baltimore.

Room Tip: I had room 903, which was a harborview room. It was quiet and had nice views of the Inner Harbor.

I was in Baltimore for just 3 days for a conference at JH. The hotel has great location and beautiful view. It is very close to the harbor where great restaurants are located. The hotel has great staff, we had some problems with our reservation but they managed to fix it. The room has nice space and standard American hotels decoration. The breakfast is wonderful, I ordered an eggs Benedict that was wonderful. I had great time.

...you probably have a problem with almost everything. The positives: Excellent front desk staff, fabulous views, quiet and spotless room, great location (National Aquarium, Little Italy, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Cross Street Market), attractive lobby, and first-class food service operations (we were here for a conference with several hundred attendees). Negatives: Not a heck of a lot. Wi-fi has a fee for access from your room (a big pet peeve for me) but it's complimentary in the lobby. Free wifi is available at every Best Western in America so why not here? I'm just lost on this one. Still, it's just a minor hassle so we'll be back at our first chance.
