This was our first stay at a Marriott. From check-in through check-out we experienced smiling, welcoming faces. Any questions or concerns that we had were cheerfully and competently answered by the front desk staff, bellmen, valets and concierges. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean, well lit and insulated from noise. The beds were comfortable, clean and had plenty of pillows. You may request feather or foam pillows. The room had a refridgerator, safe, ironing board and Keurig coffee maker. The best room feature had to be the "At Your Service" button on the telephone. Questions ranging from dining to attraction transportation can be answered by these fine folks.
We had a harbor view. Beautiful, especially at night. The hotel is close to just about everything: a few short minutes to the aquarium, civil war museum, movie theatre, Little Italy, Barnes and Noble, Whole Foods, CVS, the James Joyce Restaurant, the tall ships, water taxis, art museums and more. Fells Point is right up the street and is probably a 10-15 minute walk. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but did have the breakfast buffet. It is pricey at $16.50 plus tax and tip but the food is very good. All non-alcholic breakfast drinks are included.
Criticisms are small and as follows: The iron in the room leaked water on our clothes; no damage, just water. A strip of wood fell off of a drawer when opened. There are additional outlets near the tv for computers, cell phones, etc. When we removed the plug the entire faceplate pulled away from the cabinet. It took two hands to unplug our items. The feature that I disliked the most in the room was the cable tv system. The channel selection is limited. The menus were inconvenient to use and blocked out the show being watched when in use. Almost nothing in the "On Demand" section was free. The fees were 3.99 and 4.99 for 22 minute tv shows that had aired less than a month ago on ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS. There are examples of digital systems from major cable tv providers that "cable company X" would do well to emulate.

Room tip: Room on higher floor with un-obstructed view.

This is a beautiful hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was pleased with my room as well as the conference facilities. The staff was courteous and the food was delicious. My only gripe is that the hotel still charges a daily rate ($13 or so) for WiFi. I’m a communications professional, and I have come to consider free WiFi for guests (or even for members of a rewards program, which is how the Omni hotels handle it) to be a staple of conferences at hotels of this caliber. I hope Marriott will change that practice in the future.

Stayed at the Marriott with my wife for three nights while attending a conference. The conference facilites are very nice, but they keep the conference rooms rather cold. The location is great -- near Little Italy with wonderful restaurants and, of course, the inner harbor and Fells Point just down the road. The room was not great. We were on the 8th floor with a view of the parking garage. Request a harbor view and higher floor if possible. The shower head had one setting although it was supposed to be an adjustable shower head -- obviously broken but not replaced. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan or heat lamp. There is a coffee maker in the room and there is a cabinet for a small refrigerator; however, there was no refrigerator in the cabinet. Had drinks in the bar one evening -- very expensive. My pet peeve is no free internet except in the lobby; $12.95 per day in the room. Ate breakfast in the hotel one morning -- expect to pay at least $15.00 per person for two eggs, bacon and juice. Although the property is only a few years old (5 or 6) it is not very well maintained and the lack of maintenance is showing. The staff was attentive for the most part. Lobby areas are nice.

Awoke with bites all over my legs! Didn't actually see any bugs, but then again, you usuallyt don't see them!

What a nice hotel. Beautiful views of the water, beautiful rooms, and friendly staff.

The only downside is that the restaurant at the hotel was very slow and much too expensive for the quality of the food that they serve (over 30 minuted for 3 burgers, and more than $50 for 3 people with burgers, fries, and sodas). A 5 minute walk to RA, however, is well worth the trip for some GREAT sushi.
