“Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

In Baltimore for the weekend. Ate dinner here Sun night. Was told it would be 35 minute wait, but it was much shorter than that. Waitress was great and food was delicious!

“Top Notch, best Raw Bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

We were 15 minutes late for our reservation on a busy Saturday night, but they held the table. Great start. Great beers on tap including Dogfish. The raw bar was the best I've experienced. Great Oyster selection, the Jonah Crab Claws were delicious, and the half Lobster tail was very good and reasonably priced. For the entree I had the whole Porgy and that was great, too. If you're in Baltimore and love seafood - go here!

“Sadly...Overpriced and Overhyped”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012 via mobile

Grabbed some dinner here after seeing great reviews on tripadvisor. I had the scallops with risotto...scallops were undercooked and the risotto had an overpowering lime flavor...$23.00 for four undercooked scallops and lime risotto? Thames Oyster House has a cool atmosphere but the food fell way short of being the 2nd ranked restaurant in Baltimore! Too bad... Another trendy restaurant that probably won't make it!

“Awesome food and great service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012

This was our second time there, and both times we really enjoyed everything, especially the food. The first time we sat upstairs in the dining room, the second time we sat outside in the little courtyard in the back. To get to the courtyard, we walked through the bar area, which looked like a lot of fun. Maybe next time.....

On both our visits, we really enjoyed the food. The mussels appetizer is outstanding! The servers we had were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. On our first visit the server introduced us to "oyster shooters". Two of our party really liked them, the other two did not. I think it really depends on whether you like oysters or not.

It's a fun place with really good seafood. Be prepared to drive around for a while looking for a parking place. Be patient - it's worth it!!!

Don'tmiss this place. We got here with a local friend, and we had a great time. Food is great, service is impeccable, great experience (and in B'more?!)
