Loved the charcuterie, just wished they gave more than 4 pieces of crostini for 5 selections. Loved the artic char, goat cheese, and bacon jam. Pass on the corn fritters, two of the fritters I bit into were just fried batter--disappointing! Salad was good and fresh and service was friendly and prompt.

Recommended by our Federal Hill resident children we needed a place to get an early meal we could walk too. We were not disappointed.

We looked over the wine list and chose an Oregon Pinot noir that paired nicely with the cheese and meat charcuterie of goat cheese and peach preserve, a creamy good cheddar and a pecan sausage.

Dinner just as tasty and well prepared. We ordered the crab cake and the pork meat loaf both are recommended.

We also suggest you try the sweet potato cornbread as a side dish. Delicious.

An overall nice find in the middle of Federal Hill. They gave a nice outside seating area, small bar that is open to the street. The service was also very good. There is also valet parking if you are arriving by car.

Enjoyed a thoroughly good meal while in Baltimore. Had the lager broth mussels for starters, which were firm, plump, and very tasty; just would have liked more crustini without having to ask for it. My Love had the rabbit/crawfish gumbo which was very tasty, but doesn't come with the heat one expects from a gumbo. I had the fried catfish, with mustard greens, and cheesy grits, which was amazing. The fish was well fried, seasoned, and the additional of the stewed tomatoes, which complimented the greens and grit completed the meal. The only drawback is Bluegrass is located in an area with restricted parking and while their website stated the valet was complimentary, it was in fact $5. It's a nominal fee, but it should noted. We'd definitely go back.

We enjoyed Bluegrass Tavern very much; sort of creative southern cooking with a gourmet flair. Between us we had fried chicken, pork and fish. All were very tasty. The fried chicken was superb. Forget whatever you think you know about fried chicken. This place is truly unique and different and the whole team tries to surprise and please their guests. The wine list is not huge but goes from basic to expensive. The deserts were homemade and decadent. You will definitely feel you have been out for something out of the ordinary; and will leave satisfied and trying to figure out what you might try next time.

The restaurant is located in a densely packed residential neighborhood. Don't expect to find parking. Valet for $5. Or bet yet, taxi and enjoy the bar service.
