Our family of four including a high schooler and a young adult went on the 3 hour harbor cruise with Captain Virgil and found it to be a relaxing and informative way to "meet" Baltimore. The captain's historical knowledge of Baltimore exceeded my expectations. He also has a family background in making a living from the waters of the Chesapeake, so that adds another layer of insight that we found very interesting. Not to mention his sailboat racing hobby. A fascinating man, a soothing cruise and a terrific way to learn more about Baltimore.

We had an opportunity to take time away from hectic meetings and ventured to historic Fells Point with Captain Virgil and Harbor Sail. A relaxing afternoon into the area of Harborplace and to the outer harbor where there are many sites to see of the city and beyond to Fort McHenry. The crew was cheerful and made our time on the water a delight along with a champagne toast at sunset, the perfect way to end the day.
Thank you!

Most people don't get to see the inner harbor from the water looking in. Its a completely different perspective, one which Harbor Sail provides. I've spent my whole life in Baltimore but learned an incredible amount about the city from Captain Virgil. Very relaxing with lots wine and sunshine : )

Captain Virgil is a true professional, with a passion for sailing and for his hometown of Baltimore. In short, we sailed for 3-hours in the Baltimore inner and greater harbor and loved every minute of it. The boat was a beautiful, clean 41-foot Hunter. Captain Virgil and his First Mate made sure that we had everything we needed and even plated our food and served our drinks when asked! We saw a view of Baltimore unlike we could have seen from land. We saw the city, the inner harbor, Fort McHenry, modern and historic US Naval ships, the USNS Comfort, a Domino Sugar ship unloading, many different cargo ships, and all kinds of industry that makes our economy move. Captain Virgil and his First Mate offered a tremendous amount of historical and modern information about the sights -- our own private guide to the harbor! We think this is a great adventure for all people, young and old -- and especially for families.

Other information:
-- Captain Virgil took the reservation himself and was very easy to work with
-- The marina is easy to find and is located in the beautiful district of Fell's Point.
-- Payment is cash only plus tip for the First Mate
-- Parking is free at the marina
-- Price is very reasonable for this kind of sail (sailing always seems expensive, but we think it's such a unique and worthwhile activity)
-- We were able to bring any food or drink that we wanted (and they served it!)
-- Full restroom and refrigeration on board
-- Sailboat is very spacious to sit in the cockpit or bow
-- Sail was very smooth without much tipping/bobbing
-- Cockpit was shaded from the sun
