“Second stay...just as good as the first”
Reviewed October 27, 2011

When returning to the Baltimore area we immediately booked this hotel again.

Rooms are fairly large and nicely decorated. There is a large flat screen tv, desk area, good sized bathroom and the beds are COMFY. Hotel is in a renovated warehouse, lovely lobby area with huge ceilings and a nice sitting area. There is a computer and printer for guest use. I didn't use the fitness room but the machines looked quite new, looked really nice. The breakfast area has tables and a breakfast bar all along the windows. It gets busy, but people come and go quickly. Good selection of items, hot and cold.

Location isn't where people would think of when they think 'inner harbor', but it's only about a 10 minute walk to the Aquarium, historic ships, and shops. There is a water taxi stop just down the street. 2 blocks from the restaurants at Power Plant Live, 15 minute walk to the pubs/shops in Fell's Point, 10 minute walk to Little Italy. The one downfall is that there is a church just down the street with a large park where a good amount of 'underprivledged' people were 'living'. I can see how that could make some people uneasy. We never had an issue walking by, but it didn't have the nicest smell when you pass. On our first stay at the hotel the desk clerk suggested was cab back from Little Italy if it was after dark. No concerns during the day though.

My only complaint about the hotel is how heavy the room doors are. Our friends heard doors closing (slamming) quite often thoughout the night. Also, the bathroom door in our room wedged into the frame and made it impossible to quietly shut the door during the night. We did report that to the hotel when we checked out though. Isolated issue.

Great stay overall

I have stayed at this hotel twice and had a pleasant experience each time. The hotel is fairly new in Baltimore so the prices for the rooms are not bad. You can walk to the harbor and downtown as well. The Shot Tower metro station is down the street as well so you can access mass transit here. The decor is beautiful and inviting. The only downside is that the walls are thin so you hear the room next to you if they are loud enough. The rooms are a great size as well. Second floor has a washer and dryer for guests to use. The hotel has an updated computer, printer and fax machine to take care of your business needs or you can use the wi-fi service in your room. Overall this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in without paying a five star price.

Room Tip: Since the walls are thin, see if you could get a room away from the ice and vending machines. Also i...

Celebrated my husband's birthday with an overnight stay here and dinner at Chazz in Harbor East and it felt like we had been to the big apple! The hotel has a cool boutique feel as soon as you enter the lobby with it's contemporary design and clean new vibe. Our room was huge! Flat screen TV can be aimed at the unbelievable hot tub jacuzzi, your sofa or the oh-so-comfy king size bed. Wow! The staff is super friendly. You'll love it!

Location is 20 minutes walk to the convention centre. During our stay they did provide a free shuttle to the convention centre for one of the days.
Room is modern and comfortable. Air condition was a little loud but overall I enjoyed the room.
There is a small gym, free wifi and breakfast.

The Sleep Inn Inner Harbor is a great find - it's a little outside of downtown but located very close to Power Plant Live, the Aquarium and Harbor area/shopping plaza. It's about 1.5 Miles to Camden Yards/Ravens Stadium but it's all very walkable.

The hotel itself is very nice and has a new feel - very boutiquey . The decor was very modern and not too busy. Beds were comfortable and the check in went very smoothly.

Breakfast had a variety of items including eggs, sausage, waffle makers, cereal, fruit, muffins, breads etc. The hotel is also located within easy walking distance of Little Italy with a lot of great restaurants.

Parking is $15 per night or you can park on the street at your own risk. They do have a computer in the lobby if you need to print your boarding pass or check your email. The front desk will also be glad to call cab for you if you need it!

They do not have an airport shuttle but they do have a shuttle to bring you to John Hopkins if you need.

One thing to note - our room only had a stand up shower, which may not work for some families with young children but for us it was fine.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are very big and have less foot traffic and noise.

This property is an awesome find. Its a uniquely renovated furniture showroom and warehouse. The architecture style embraces what once was into a cool place to stay. The rooms and public areas are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is superb and very helpful. My husband has been staying there while working on a project nearby. Its a quick walk to the inner harbor and little Italy. Stay here, you'll be glad you did!

Place was clean, modern and new. Loved that it had a washer dryer you could use. The rooms were actually quite large and it wasn't to far from Inner Harbor. Free breakfast, Wifi and free lemonade whenever you want it!!!
