This place is pricey, and to all of us Americans, the general idea of "tapas" seems like a big gimmick when one finds himself or herself paying a hefty price for what seems to be an appetizer.
Welcome to tapas, get over it.
The point of this place is a few VERY tasty things to be shared over a glass of sangria on a date or event of the sort. For this, Tapas Adela excels.

I expected more from the owners of Kalis Court (one of my all time favorites in Baltimore.) Adela is a step down from Mezze, also a Kalis restaurant and a few steps down from delicious Pazo, both located only a few blocks away. If dining at Adela, try the salmon. It was the best item we tasted.

We stopped here for something quick to hold us over until dinner.
We were surprised at the menu, it was an excellent variety of tapas to pick from. The service we had was not very helpful in explaining the tapas offered, and it was suggested that we get 2 or 3 tapas per person. My wife and I shared 3 tapas and were very full, so we could not believe most people would eat 2 or 3 each.

This is the second time I have eaten here and the food is consistently flavorful and well prepared. We enjoyed the fried artichokes, the calamari, the patatas bravas, the shrimp with garlic, roasted chickpeas and the duck confit flat bread. The pork and Lamb meatballs where a bit dry and the Pescado Frito (Cod) was a bit too much like english fish and chips (without the chips). This is the best Tapas in Baltimore and we will be back.
