“Amazing”

Best food (if not atmosphere - it is a grocery store after all) in Baltimore. Great staff, nice folks, and excellent prices.

“If you're looking for good Italian home cooking, this is it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Our son is attending university in central Baltimore, and we hadn't gotten down to really test out little Italy. We saw the reviews on TripAdvisor of this place, and they are spot on. It reminded me so much of the sights and smells from my Italian Nonn's kitchen when I was a child that a tear came to my eye. We stopped for lunch and bought a bottle of Italian wine to have with our dinner the next day. What a great place to shop and a relaxed atmosphere to dine.

“Best Italian deli in Baltimore”

I've been coming here for years and it never fails me. The meatball sub is fantastic. You can't help browsing around. They have wine too.

“great place to get great stuff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

We had too litlle time in Baltimore to partake of what locals call Baltimore's best Italian Sndwiches and Pizza but we stop there every trip to buy the great things we can't find elsewhere. We picked up 2 cans of salt packed anchovies (no one should ever eat any other kind unless they are frosh from the sea and quick grilled or lightly sautied) we found some truffle oil and, if we had room in our luggage to carry them home, at least 8 varieties of high end canned tomatoes. In the past we hve found great dried porcini but still have plenty left at home so will wait until next trip to get more. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
