Finding good Indian food is impossible in Vermont, so I often seek it out when traveling. Indigma is in a large old house and the rooms have high ceilings and lovely furnishings. Outside our window was the monument in Mt Vernon Square. It was a quiet weekday evening and we loved meeting the owner, who came by at the beginning and end of our meal to introduce himself and make sure we had a good experience. The food was fresh, creative, nicely presented and tasty. So many good things to choose from. Appetizers were fantastic -- don't miss the battered avocado and open-face pakoras.
