A group of friends got together at the Fairfield Inn Downtown/Inner Harbor. The hotel is nicely located to access the National Aquarium area as well as Fells point. Valet parking is available or discounted self parking (across the street) is available at $22/day. Our 2nd floor room had sufficient space for two, ample closet/drawer space, ironing board/iron, king bed, well lit, coffee maker, no-issue HVAC, 2 chairs and a nice size bathroom. Happily the housekeeping was very good. In short, the room was very nice. The room lacked an in room safe (should be a basic expectation).
Breakfast room offered more than enough choices to get your day started. You likely won’t be raving, but this is a basic buffet, not a full service restaurant. During our 2 night stay the fresh fruit and yogurt was more than enough. Scrambled eggs, pre-made omelets, sausage and waffles were some of the hot items available. If weather is nice, the central courtyard is a nice option for some quiet outdoor time.
Overall, the Fairfield Inn was a good value and all our interactions with staff were favorable.More
