I spent a week here while a family member was at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Pros include: free taxi vouchers to/from hospital, new hotel, nice design for price range, clean rooms, can request quiet room facing a back street, tavern with decent food, free breakfast, rooms with microwave and fridges, can walk to little Italy and shopping. Cons: some desk staff don't know how to handle the vouchers, a Saturday night had only one person at front desk and it was a zoo, walls between some rooms are thin, the breakfast is pretty cheap-it could have been a step up for the price of rooms, parking is prohibitively expensive. Tip: leave your car at JHU hospital parking, get parking vouchers from hospital, and use hotel taxi vouchers to shuttle back and forth.

First time choosing and staying on this Marriott related hotel. No complaints. Clean, excellent price. Nice appointed rooms, close to the Inner Harbor and Little Italy and Fells Point.
Fun and friendly staff, everyone very helpful, nice Tavern with lite food. I will definitely return.

Room Tip: It is located between the Inner Harbor area and Little Italy but don't be afraid is a 8-9 minute...

This hotel is in a wonderful location, very close to Fells Point and the Shot Tower, in a beautiful brick building surrounded by other historic structures and good restaurants.

It's true; the parking is expensive, but I didn't need parking, and what would you expect from such a central location?
The fitness room was great as well, and the breakfast well run.

Would easily recommend.

We spent a few days at this super hotel 2 blocks away from the inner harbor and a 5-10 minute walk to Fells Point. Not only is the location super, but the hotel is extremely warm and cozy. The rooms are extremely clean, the staff extremely friendly, and our overall experience was great.

The breakfast bar, while simple, offers waffles, breakfast sandwiches, fruits, juices, oatmeals, and some pastries - just as much as you'd really need.

The interior courtyard is extremely peaceful and natural - and it really fits in with the hotel's environmental standards and certifications.

One frustration was the slow elevators - unfortunately we were unable to find stairs to get to the second floor, so we were forced to wait a number of times.

Room Tip: Something which looks inward to the courtyard.

From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
The hotle room was spacious and comfortable, great value for money.
Ideal for walking, within a few minutes of the harbour and other tourist sites.
Onlyy downside in the room was that there was no safe.

We stayed on a Saturday night towards the end of September using a free night I had earned with Marriott. Nice design elements in the public spaces reusing an older building. Great location since it’s situated between the Inner Harbor area and Little Italy (only about two blocks away).

We had no complaints about our room, nice sized bathroom and a comfortable bed. The only problem we encountered was the room next to ours deciding to have a party around 3 AM. It took 2 visits from whomever the front desk dispatched to break up the party. But I guess that is a hazard you may run into in the Inner Harbor area on a Saturday night.

The breakfast was typical of Fairfield Inn offerings (other reviews have offered details...no need to repeat their input).

We would consider staying at the hotel again when the opportunity arises.

The hotel only has valet parking and it is $30 a day!!!! We asked about other options and they basically said there weren't any! We found that hard to believe, but it was late and we were exhausted.

The rooms are compact, but the beds are comfortable and it was clean. Interesting showers where the water falls on your head. Kudos to the cleaning staff who are clearly the most capable employees (with the exception that I note below)!

The only stair case was restricted to hotel staff. Given the need to get exercise, I found this appalling. But they only have one elevator in each tower so you have to use it to even get to the second floor (which we were not on) - which makes it a local every time, when it finally comes!

Saturday night we went down to the hotel restaurant and bar to try to get some food because the event we were out tended to run out. It was around 10:45. We had a seat and watched some people getting appetizers, but no one came to serve us. We finally went up to the bar and were told that the kitchen was closed and no food was available! This a Saturday night near the inner harbor. It is my understanding that they have to serve food if they are serving liquor so this is probably illegal also.

Sunday morning we were checking out and had to be at the event we were running early. I placed a wake up call that never happened! So the morning was very hectic. I went downstairs to get a luggage rack and there weren't any. When I asked if there were any and explained that I was late because they had not delivered the wake up call, they had the audacity to suggest I wait more while they look for a cart, and didn't even apologize for not placing the wake up call. I went back upstairs on their local elevator, we hung all of our stuff for the training on our bodies, and we waited for the elevator. People had ridden it up to be sure to get on so with us it was pretty full. We went down a floor and a staff member insisted on squeezing on with a huge cart full of towels. People were standing on top of my feet and each other to fit him on and he made us even later just to move his huge cart one floor.

We got downstairs and fortunately they had retrieved our car, but they had backed it in so we had to stand on their spikey plants to load our car. Not sure if it was good for their plants but it was certainly not good for our suits. There was a taxi blocking us in, so I leaned on the horn for about 5 minutes making a HUGE racket and no one came. We had to leave so we somehow managed to maneuver out with only minor damage to our new car.

This place was a night mare. I will never go back. If you want a comfortable bed and don't care about anything else or getting anywhere on time, its fine. Otherwise go someplace that cares about its guests.

Thank you for giving us your feedback. Our Tavern is committed to offering the best food quality and service. Our kitchen closes two hours prior to the bar closing time. Please know that this is legal and in compliance with our liquor license. When guests are arriving as the kitchen closes, we typically do leave the kitchen open for additional service. I am sorry that we did not show that flexibility to you and failed to attend to your table.
Regarding the member of the housekeeping team that joined the crowd on the elevator, we apologize for his lack of care for our guests.
Your comments have been shared with the involved departments. We are truly sorry we did not meet your expectations.
