We visited Blue Hill Tavern with another couple and were not disappointed! Such a mix of eclectic flavors in every dish!! We started with a couple appetizers- the bacon scallop- not your typical bacon wrapped scallop & breaded mozzarella - both we're delish and got us ready for the meal. We also ordered the blt salad ans the beet salad- equally delicious and refreshing! Our friends both ordered the 16 oz veal chop with truffle butter- it melted in your mouth. I ordered the tuna, which was fresh & delish - but nothing out of the ordinary, my husband had the cheeseburger, which was more of a modern twist on the cheeseburger. Everything was cooked exquisitely, nothing was overdone & each plate was a work of art. Even though we were stuffed from dinner, we knew we must try their home made dessert! We were not disappointed!! I had the cinnamon sugar butter tart- which I have been dreaming about since! Our friends shared the bread pudding & enjoyed every bite! We will definitely return I Blue Hill Tavern, it is an excellent place to go for a delicious and satesfying meal & was worth every penny!

Had dinner there for the first time last weekend and overall the food and service was solid. It is not an exceptional place, but has a solid selection of food and drinks. The wine selection is somewhat limited but is very reasonably priced. Neighborhood is a bit quiet but a good change of pace.

We needed a place to get together to catch up with friends and celebrate multiple birthdays and an anniversary. It was easy to get a reservation for 6 on a Sunday evening. Blue jeans and dress shirts are acceptable attire even though the restaurant has a formal modern feel. Our group met in the bar; we had just enough time to order delicious cocktails and then headed upstairs for a table near a window. Not much of a view but the lighting made it seem warm on what was a fairly cold mid March day. The menu brought us great entertainment as we joked about the wording of the descriptions. Nonetheless, everyone in our group easily found something to match their palette. Our server was friendly and timely throughout the service and we truly enjoyed our evening together. One of our friend's even ordered something to go!

We booked for first time for wifes birthday.initial impressions was that the decor on entering was very nice.we decided to have a drink first at the bar.the bar boy was up himself and didn't even welcome us.we went upstairs for our table. The waitress seemed false and had way too much coffee or something stronger.! No eye contact and was all over the place. I put it down to nervousness or inexperience. When we received our food the lighting in the restaurant was so poor my wife couldn't see what she was eating.the calamari was good but not worth the price.the mains were ok but still overpriced for what it was.wont be revisiting.Cheescake factory towsin much better value and food

Our first visit ever. What a happy, unexpected surprise. We went on a weeknight and were seated immediately. The atmosphere, decor, layout, tables, chairs, place settings... everything was pleasant and comfortable. I love the use of curtains throughout the space on both floors. Noise isn't an issue, so hats off to whoever looked into that detail. Our server, Alex, was extremely nice and attentive. The dinner menu is varied enough for all palates, and the wine list is extensive. My meal consisted of the baby beet salad (awesome!) and Mushroom Wellington (fantastic!). Also ordered at our table were the scallops appetizer and whole rockfish entree. Our water glasses were kept full, and our dishes were cleared away just at the right time. No room for dessert, unfortunately, but their offerings are mouth-watering. Prices are in line with what was prepared and comparable to other restaurants but here, quality beats price. All thumbs up and A-plus to Blue Hill Tavern. We shall return!
