Stayed at the Monaco Baltimore while making our way to Florida for Spring Training. This historic beauty was full of interesting details and the history of the hotel is fascinating. We really had no idea of the history when we booked. Hotel staff was very welcoming and professional. The hotel is well located if you're a baseball fan, close to Camden Yard. We'd stay here again...

I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and has really turned me into a Kimpton fan! The rooms were very spacious and well equipped. I had a great view of the city and the curtains worked wonderfully to darken for extra sleep. I loved the modern décor. The lobby was stunning and really made you feel like you had stepped back in time. I found the staff to be incredibly polite and helpful in everything I needed from room service, to directions, to restaurant. My favorite perk was the free Happy Hour, which was a fantastic surprise. I met so many interesting people due to this, which made my stay all the more fun! No complaints here!

Last minute decision to spend our date night out in Baltimore.Wine reception on check in was very welcoming. Our room was spacious and modern.Friendly staff.A short walk to restaurants We loved the fact that it was the former C and O railroad headquarters. The lounge was cozy with a fireplace that makes you want to linger. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning.

I had no issues with this hotel. Very clean, well decorated, friendly staff, and most of all free alcohol during certain hours. Came up to Baltimore to watch the Orioles take on the Yankees (walking distance to the ball park). Had an awesome view of downtown Baltimore.

Room Tip: Trying reserving a room up high to have a great view of the city.

We decided to stay at the Hotel Monaco for our recent trip to the Inner Harbor. The goldfish in our room had our kids sold! Unfortunately when we arrived, we were told that all goldfish were on a "field trip" and as a replacement, were given some goldfish crackers. Needless to say, we had to deal with their disappointment for the entire stay. The evening wine hour was a nice addition but do not expect snacks or anything for kids during that time. Overall, the staff was pleasant, rooms were clean and hotel was quiet and in close proximity to the Inner Harbor.

Look - this place spent money to fix up rooms and entry. I give them credit. But behind the surface were odors I couldn't explain and service that was directly from the TV series, "Walking Dead". I give them credit for trying - Baltimore, with the exception of the Four Seasons - is a horrible hotel town. The competition is worn, old and wanting. But the owners/managers of this property need to focus on details and not assume people will be happy with dressing up. The location is still seedy - even though it is right in between Washington Monument and the Harbor. But that is not the hotel's fault - that is the government's lack of vision and planning. Charles is a great street and should be the focal point of investment in Baltimore so that it has the perfect "T" - Harbor East and West and Charles North and South.

I booked a king room. Check in was quick and efficient. We were in room 707 and it was really nice. We are shower snobs. Meaning we don't like tub/shower combos with a shower curtain. We like walk in showers with tile. This bathroom met our standards. Very spacious room too! We could not find one complaint about the place. Yes, valet is $38 with unlimited in and out privileges, but look at where you are located. There is nowhere else to park in downtown Baltimore. Were from the city and we just booked one night for our anniversary. It was worth it and we will definitely stay again. We also recommend the evening reception. Choice of white or red wine (unlimited). The host even walked around when it was almost over filling up glasses. This hotel is pet friendly and we saw a lot of pets, but they have pet free floors which we were on and we saw no trace of a pet. Which is a bonus because we suffer with allergies. Overall, excellent choice!
