It's a newer hotel and service is slow and disorganized. A half hour to get a bottle opener? Twenty minutes to check in with no other customers? The staff should spend the night at the Four Seasons to see how to run a hotel.

Dear Facchino,

I apologize to read about your recent visit and the length of time it took for what seems to be standard services. I will definitely address our inefficiency with the staff so we do not fail you twice!

They always do it right. Good price, good location, good staff. wish they had these everywhere. It is hip yet not too young, something I like but without the 20 somethings. Beds were great

My daughter and I stayed here recently when I had a four-day conference at the convention center. The building is the old B&O Railroad building with high ceilings and two beautiful (steep) staircases on the first floor. We had a room with two double beds and it was large. The bathroom was nice though the door on it was not a secure door which was a little flaky. We took advantage of the open wine bar one night which was nice.... They had games and some hors d'ouevres, too. I cannot say it was a fabulous place, but it was very nice. The staff was very good. The restaurant attached was pretty good, too. Nice staff there too. Overall, it was a good stay. 2-3 blocks from the convention center and maybe two more to the Harbor.

The Stay at the Hotel was extremely disappointing, The Building is Superb with Large rooms & bathrooms but the service was a big let down. No coffee or tea maker in the rooms (which is standard in a Hotel this level). & to top it all if you intend te leave early be prepared to go without tea, coffee or breakfast as the we were informed that the room service starts only from 08.00 am. The rooms are also not done every day as out of the three nights we stayed once it was not done and on another occasiion when we came back in the evening tired after the whole day out we found that the rooms were being done then i.e. about 18.30 pm in the evening.

Dear RajivMehta,

Thank you for your feedback and apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I will definitely research as to why your room was not cleaned at the appropriate time. I also would like to let you know that we do have coffee makers by request only because we offer complimentary coffee and tea service every morning in our living room. It is apparent that this was not communicated properly to you and I will definitely address this issue with the team for future guests.

This 1902 former headquarters of B&O Railroad was recently restored as a hotel. Service was great. Rooms including bathroom are VERY spacious and we thought "good value". Location is excellent.

Only downer is that parking is $36/night.

Hotel restaurant - yes read their restaurant - is rated as one of the best in Baltimore. We were not disappointed - gourmet dining that was not overpriced.

Enjoyed our stay in a lovely room. The bathroom's soaking tub was a real nice touch. The hotel staff all seemed very friendly and helpful. The hotel's resteraunt, the B&O Brasserie has a spectacular cocktail menu which was fun to investigate.

Pet's (in our case small dog), stay for no additional fee and the hotel is the best pet-friendly place we have stayed while travelling.

Not a complaint, but one does have to be patient waiting on the elavators at times.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a soaking tub in their bathroom, it's worth seeking this feature out.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Monaco in Baltimore for a weekend. The hotel is classy and immaculate. We brought our two dogs and they were greeted with enthusiasm and a treat bag. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and a nice city view. Join their frequent visitors club and you get free wi-fi and a $10 coupon to "raid the minibar" in addition to some other perks. The wine reception (complimentary) was very nice. They are quite generous with their pours. The location was great--just several blocks from the Inner Harbor. The restaurant was fabulous with great service there as well. We will definitely return here and look forward to trying other Kimpton properties!
