Baltimore Plaza Inner Harbor

Not too bad. A lot cheaper than a lot of hotels in the area and that is really all it has going for it. Best for those who need to been downtown. Clean, but a bit worn down and not much attention to details. For example, we didn't have soap one day and one bed was missing a blanket. Breakfast was kind of school cafeteria, but there is coffee place around the corner and a Dunkin Donuts down the street. For those needing to be near the Inner Harbor or Convention Center, this isn't too convenient, but Baltimore does have a free bus that can get you around town. The neighborhood is kind of mixed, but I felt safe walking to where I needed to go. Overall, if you just need a place to crash and don't really need a lit of amenities this will do.

If I could give them no stars I would. We stayed here on June 23rd with two other couples. The last time we stayed here was two years ago and we liked the place. The location was good they had just put a nice bar in and the rooms were nice. What a difference two years makes. The bar was closed, the lobby had no air conditioning and there were more homeless people in front of the place then customers. Not to mention the hookers on the corner that night. Great family atmosphere!

The lobby looked run down and tired. The guy at the desk was as fast as a dead person. We finally got into our room and thank the lord we brought disenfectant because they place needed it. There were stains on the walls, rug and showeer booth. It wasn't a stall it was a round booth that neither I nor my wife wanted to shower in. I was so disappointed.

The other two couples that we were with couldn't even get into their rooms. they both went down twice and were given different keys and none of them worked. Finally the guy at the desk came up and had to use a master key to get in and then told them that when they returned at night they would have a key for them that worked. Well the one couple pulled back their sheets and found more hair on the sheets then a wooki. So they called down to the front desk and the front desk said that when they got back that night they would be changed. well guess what? When they got back to the room that night they were not changed and when they called down to the front desk that guy said he was the only one on and she would have to come downstairs and pick up her own sheets and put them on herself. While she was down there, there was another couple that had to come down to get their own towels because there were none in the room.

It was like everyone that worked there just didn't care and this will def be the last time I stay there. No satisfaction or apologies what-so-ever.

Do not stay here unless you are really hard up for a place to stay.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel does not have a place to unload while checking in, so we had to park in a nearby garage first. The lobby and main areas seemed a bit run down. Our room was tiny and dark, with a view of the airshaft and empty beercans on the lower roof. We didn't notice until later in the evening that there was mold on the wallpaper by the air conditioning vent. The room wasnt very clean, hair on the bathroom floor and inside the shower curtain. Tiny little pillows on the bed. When we returned to the hotel late in the evening, the front door to the hotel was still propped open, anyone could just walk in. The final treat was finding someone's gas receipt between the bedspread and sheets. Made us wonder if the sheets were from the previous guest as well. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: I suggest a room in a different hotel

yes the hotel is in an older building, but is very convenient
to inner harbor and all downtown attractions. the room was small, but very
clean, with a very comfortable pillowtop mattress. the room had a great
power shower and modern bath. the room was definitely a bargain
and everyone was very nice. for the price you cannot beat it.

I chose this hotel as the alternative to designated conference hotels at a savings of about 50%. About 7/10 mile from Baltimore Convention Center - easy and safe walk. Hotel is old, but decently maintained. Nice breakfast. Room was generally clean, and everything worked. Bed was comfortable and clean, but not up to the best standards of the Choice chain. Rooms overlooking Light street (front side) can be noisy from street traffic. A/C system is effective but noisy. Hotel has both wired and wireless internet - wired was very fast. TV in room was good, but signal was bad - not a pleasant viewing experience. Paid parking next door at about $20/night - relatively convenient and seems safe - no problems experieinced over a serveral night stay.

Room Tip: Avoid front of hotel to reduce street noise

Stayed here as part of a work conference. Located on a sad block. Lobby looked like a bus station, and the clerk was chilling when we entered. The room was clean and quiet, but the pillows were tiny squares. Definitely a budget accommodation, and I wouldn't recommend if you are a fan of the finer things. One upshot: The hotel is a short walk down to the Inner Harbor and not too far of a walk from Camden Yards.

The parking situation sucks. I would not leave my car on the street overnight. This hotel sits in the middle of the hood , a few blocks from the hustlers club and other strip clubs on baltimore street. It is a few blocks from the inner harbor but not walking distance. The rooms are very small and dark. Not enough lighting to see. Our sheets had stains on them. The only upside to this place is the free breakfast. I would not stay here again. although the price was cheap. especially if you have AAA. Lastly there is no ESPN tv station in the room even though noted in the guide there is only ESPN downstairs in the lobby.
