“Greatly disappointed”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

I was so disappointed in our recent visit. We arrived at 5:30, with reservations. They couldn't seat us, even though the place was nearly empty, so we went to the bar (which only had two people in it) for a drink. Well, they forgot about us. We had to remind them and by then we ended up just grabbing a table in the bar. Long story short-we were there for 2 hours and were never served our dinner. Our appetizers of oysters took over 30 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask several times for things we requested (drinks, bread, etc). We were going to a show at the Hippodrome so, after inquiring about the status of our meal twice, we had to leave or risk missing the show. When we told our waitress to cancel our food there was a half apology half "oh please try us again". No manager stopped over, no comped drinks-nothing. On top of that, the waitress knew we were in a hurry at that point and still took over 15 minutes to bring the bill and settle our tab-again with no complimentary drink or discount. I am completely appalled. A company with such great history of being one of the best ended up being a horrible experience. We never ate before the show and everything was closed by the time it was over, but what really blew my mind most was that the manager made no effort to come by and apologize, and there was no attempt to make the situation right. When a table arrives at 5:30pm, when your restaurant is near empty, is forgotten and not seated, and never gets served their dinner-you do something to make up for it. I can't say we'll be back anytime soon, which is disappointing because we like to take our business clients here when they're in town. Not anymore. On the plus side-the Chincoteague Oysters were amazing!

“Not Bad”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

My husband and I met a friend/business partner here for dinner. The lighting was a bit dark for my taste. The food was pretty good. The couple of appetizers we ordered was very good. Our waitress was a neophyte so she was just learning, but very pleasant and kind.

All and all an ok experience.

“disappointing visit”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Very surprised by the poor experience. We were visiting Baltimore for a convention. 4 of us came for a late lunch. they tried to stick us in a dark corner table. We asked to be seated at a table with some sun light. We then waited 20 minutes for a waiter. The table seater came , apologized , and took our order. 50 minutes later we had our drinks and bread. 30 minute after that, we finally were served. I had ordered Flounder but was served Chicken ., It was dry and overcooked. I was to annoyed to send it back. A tuna dish had so much pepper as to be inedible. So, poor service and poor food. Why did this happened? Poor management? It will be my first and last visit.

“Everything was wonderful!”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

We were having a cousins reunion and had dinner here on our first night in Baltimore. We started with a cocktail in the bar; the bartender was welcoming and wonderful, and he made the best Mojito's and Vodka sours!! For dinner we asked to be seated where we would have a view of the harbor, and we had a gorgeous evening view. Two of the cousins had special needs, one with a peanut allergy and the other gluten free. The Manager took the time to come to our table to discuss their needs. The waiters were very professional and accommodating. I had the scallops and they were perfectly prepared. Everyone's plate was beautifully presented and delicious.

The location was good with a view of the water. Service was fairly prompt. Bit over priced for what I got
