Stayed one night with my sister in Room 195 with two double beds. This room was in the back, away from the Fells Point nightlife noise, and very quiet. Very clean. Nicely decorated, well-appointed, comfy and cozy. Enough lamps to make the room warmly bright. Pretty, well-lit bathroom with lots of thick, soft white towels and good water pressure in the shower. Friendly, accommodating staff.

One blip: At 8:00 a.m. on checkout day, housekeeping was knocking on the door, wanting to clean the room! I said we would be leaving at noon, the hotel's checkout time. She corrected me, saying checkout time was 11:00 a.m. A call to the front desk verified the noon checkout time, solved the problem and housekeeping did not bother us again. This might be a staff training issue.

After a rocky check-in, as in no one was at the desk for almost half an hour, our stay was all we hoped for. The location is excellent. It's right next to everything you want to eat, drink and see. Short (10 seconds) walk to the water taxi makes Inner Harbor easily in your vacation plans as well.

The location can not be beat, our room was huge, clean and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back of the hotel, makes all the difference in street noise.

Staff are great. Rooms are very clean but very small. This is a good place for couple or small parties. The location is great for nightlife and close enough to the Downtown core. We walked there a couple of times. Lots of great pubs and shops in this area. Water taxi stand is just across the street.

Room Tip: Check the room size when you book, some rooms are no bigger than a closet.

Recently stayed here this July. I would reccomend this hotel for couples only. The rooms are small but very nice. The location is great. walking distance to food, shops, water taxi, pubs and great night life. The price of the room was very affordable. We were also able to walk to the City's core very easily.

Room Tip: check photos online of the rooms. Some are not bigger than a closet.

I stayed here this past weekend (mid July) for several nights. My husband checked in on Wednesday and I joined him on Thursday. There are 2 reviews to discussed here. One is on the overall stay, the other is how an issue we had was left unaddressed.

Overall, the hotel is ok. I'd rate it a solid 2 or 3. The location is awesome. Because of this, they don't seem to believe they need wow anywhere else. The rooms are fine; it's a historic hotel with some cheap upgrades (laminate floors, etc.), but again, it's fine. You're not spending a lot of time in the room anyway. I had to work from the room on Friday. The desk chairs are terrible and aren't the right height (even with adjustment). The breakfast is terrible, so go someplace else. They contract with an upscale fitness club down the street, which was cool. It's loud, so bring some earplugs. We had a room that faced Thames, which was a great view but made sleeping through thirsty Thursday kind of rough.

Ok, now on to their lack of service. We went out and about all day Saturday. Our door was open. Left open by housekeeping, who had popped in late morning when we stopped back to use the bathroom about noon. So, all afternoon, from noon until 8pm when we returned, our door was open. As in not locked, slightly ajar. With all of our stuff, such as laptops, tablet, some jewelry, etc. There are no safes, so locking things up was not an option. However, you expect that your door will at least be locked. So, to recap, in downtown Baltimore, our hotel room door was left open for roughly 8 hours. I immediately called the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. The young lady let me know that there was no one on property at the time. I know they have a few hotels in the area, so I asked her to get me in touch with someone wherever they are. She took my cell number and indicated that she would have someone call me. I stopped by the desk on my way down to dinner and got her name, the GM's name and the AM's name. She mentioned (and I could see on her phone) that she had been texting them to inform them. 24 hours have passed and I have not heard from Mario or Michael. Apparently, they just don't care. At a minimum, they should know so that they can isolate the housekeeping staff that overlooked closing the door and address that. However, it would also be nice if this was acknowledged and apologized for. I would never stay here, or at any of the properties, based on the lack of response. A mediocre hotel with horrible service.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Thames and S Bond will be noisy at night

The Tavern at the Admiral was unbelievable. Drinks are unlike anything you have ever had. The general manager, Mario, was so kind and the bartenders Steve(s) were so knowledgable and attentive. The drinks had a creative and delicious twist and we will be back. Defiantly worth our trip!
