“Wonderful hidden treat on Falls Road”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Not only is the Falls Road corrider near Union Station a great point of departure for a walk, it's also right in the streetcar museum's backyard. These eccentric enthusiasts will take you for a ride on several cars and it's like traveling back in time!

“Nice afternoon out”
Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

I discovered the Baltimore streetcar museum by accident on google maps. Decided to see what it was all about and was pleasantly surprised. They have a great collection of streetcars from Baltimore and a handful from Philly. The best part of this museum is that you can ride on the streetcars! The museum has a half mile track that gives you a nice ride and a good overview of what the past was like riding streetcars. The staff is all volunteer and are extremely knowledgable and very friendly, they love questions.
The cost is minimal at only $7 and provides unlimited rides. They're open from 12-5pm on sundays and on sat during the summer.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

Went by most days for about a year and a half until we finally visited. A great use of one hour and four bucks. Worth it.

“Ride through history”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

The Streetcar Museum is often overlooked (literally--it's tucked under I-83) but it truly a gem! The museum is a fabulous place for families, especially young children interested in trains, as it is very interactive! The exhibit space is small and contains many photos and dioramas, which are all interesting. The highlight, however, is being able to actually ride a variety of historic streetcars that are conducted by the knowledgeable, friendly, all-volunteer staff (mostly old men). The 3/4 mile loop is short but it is quite exciting to feel how Baltimoreans once traveled. My favorite touch is the reprinted vintage advertisements lining all of the cars. This is a truly special place that has a little something for everyone.

The chance to ride on a real streetcar, they feature rides with Santa at Christmas time. All volunteer run - nice historical info on the Baltimore area.
